Looks more like a Destroyer shape (it still looks awesome). What's wrong with how the BS looks now?

Eppy's Current Projects - sovereign - 06-05-2008

I do believe its an import, and damned ugly... then again I don't see too many of them...

...

*siiiiiigh*

The Battleship is a bit plain and too frail, but beyond that it's too long, and you can't fly the damn thing through rocks at all or turn it because it gets its butt stuck on everything. So, make a shorter model, with better textures and more color. This is that model. And it is the BATTLESHIP replacement, Sov, not the new Dessie:rtfm:

EDIT: Wait. You think the Outcast Battleship is an import?

...

IMPORT MAI ASH!

I saw that, but vaguely remembered the Battleship being an import too. Whatever it is now can't be as good as this.

Dread's an import, not the BS.

I think in my opinion that the dreadnought is nice, I'd actually like it if the outcast bs looked quite a bit more like that instead of the model that eppy is making, but then again, Quite nice to have something diffrent and fresh.

And as eppy has said, it is hard as heck to fly that thing though rocks... the outcast battleship doesn't cooperate too well. Its HUGE!!!

what i like about the current battleship: - it looks very borderworld based, - for one, due to the "easy" shape and modular appearence, and the length of it of course. - it has hard edges like other BW ships and looks somewhat "epical" - that means, very big.

what i dont like about the old model is that it looks downsized. when compared to some other ships of its class, it looks frail. it should prolly be twice as long to look good next to other battleships, making it impossible to fly. - i only had one fight involving an outcast BB.. and the poor pilot wouldn t hit my BHG bomber even once. so i guess the length makes it hard to aim at targets that are spinning around it closely.

what i like about the new model: - it looks more compact and keeps the modular look. its not really BW anymore, but thats fine.... since its not BW anyway. - it appears to introduce new shape elements, cuts / round edges to the series of ships. - all in all, it really looks like a mk2 version... an updated version.

what i don t like much about it: - the rather innovative engines located on the sides in the middle section are gone and replaced by a very conservative engine in the back. - thats fine, but its nothing special. - it leaves AoMs dragon BB to be the only one with those cool side engines - and we know that his BB is underused, too.
when its smaller than the current one... it ll loose even more armour, due to balancing - but at least gets some more strafing, i guess. - if all the pyramid structure is meant to be habitational sections, this ship is a flying city. ( are there enough outcasts to man such a ship ? )

all in all, a very nice model - it "looks" better than the old one, but hasn t got its uniqueness. details are fine allready - and i daresay its easier to base the dreadnaught on that model than on the old one.

the hacker spyglass looks very thin is some places.. almost like an anoerexic batteship

models are good.. but not quiet outcasty enough for my liking...
