hm. just loaded flstat, and i see there are a lot of new ship names. i guess i'll go through them again and see if there are new ships added. But first i need to fix this error in milkshape.

The insurgent did indeed change, the revolution might have changed too (somewhat similar ship). I tried to render it all, but there seems to be some error. I might be using the wrong milkshape version since that's where it goes wrong.

Oh, I somehow managed to miss those. I feel silly now.

On that note, pretty sure the GC Bomber got an updated texture in one of the last betas, but I think the one I see isn't that one.

One other thing I just noticed. The Taiidan Bomber, or Kaichou now has a new skin.

I think the Corsair Cruiser has a new texture. . .
EDIT: My bad, it's fine.

Check the Insurgent again, the one on the Wiki and you render are both of the Revolution.

Coalition VHF.

So, in between writing scripts to update the wiki, I couldn't help but notice that none of the ships with transparency were done yet. Having screwed around in POV-Ray quite a bit in the past, I decided to try my hand at them. These are done using the same basic method as the tutorial from LA-384, but exporting to POV-Ray instead of 3dsMax (it's also free).

Comments welcome. I couldn't get the 'glow' right, but the transparency is all here. They look a little more purple ingame, but I'm trying to use only the textures in the actual models.
Each render took between 30 seconds and 2 minutes to run on my current computer, so I can change stuff pretty easily if someone has suggestions.

Feel free to use them, I'll do others too if people want.

Nice job! I was wondering if I would have to cut them out manually to get the transparency:)

The Aquilon has changed models, so here's the new one:

The bright red/pink cockpit glass on the Agama in your renders was bothering me, so I decided to redo it:

Colors were wrong on the Arbeiter, update:

I saw you couldn't get the textures to work on the Battlestar II, so here it is:

Funny note on that one, dunno if it's the milkshape pov exporter or the model itself, but I had to mirror most of the textures in x or y (randomly) to get it to map correctly.

'n stuff like that.
