I dunno guys, I do say the Prison Liner or a Rheinland transport does make more sense as a mobile HQ. Prison Liner is a generic ship, so I can't see why anyone would have a problem with you using it. Meanwhile two cruisers that can't leave the orbit of NB are sort of... weird to be honest.

ok, to make things a bit easier i will leave the HQ as it is for now. (prison liner) we aint decided about the command centre yet since it is meant to be mobile, i'l talk to sheppard about it.

The Command Centre is the Battle Command Centre, it is designed to co-ordinate strategic movements, i just feel it would be in abit more rp to be in a Rheinland sort of ship.

Also I would much rather fight in my Phantom then in the Command Centre, and to fix those loopholes, i'm taking out the missions part. By missions I meant missions on planet, but i've desided i'm i'm going to get the Guard tag whenever possible.

I will do everything in my power to avoid a fight in it, i'm doing what the proper police would do, would you want your centre for your strategic movements getting blown up?

Sometimes you exit a trade lane and you instantly get attacked by pirates, and you can't run, so THAT is what i mean by the self defence part of it all.

the HQ is meant to be an RPing ship, due to a prison ship being slightly libertyish, i think a cruiser would more suit the HQ. the aim is not to get it into a fight, i'll talk to sheppard and vince about the HQ we aint sure yet.

any other comments, not on the HQ?

Also... Think about the children.

I mean, what will independents think if they see a (soon to be) official police faction flying military cruisers? Who will then convince them the police is not supposed to be flying those ships if the official faction has them to begin with? Then, what is to convince them to follow the same restrictions (?) using said ships as you guys are proposing?

Also, if the military is relinquishing civilian regulation by dealing with more (deep space) matters while you stick to the orbits in terms of mandates, why would you need an advanced mobile post.

Sorry, but I have to be honest and say that I find this to be boderline 'WFT?' material.

we have no say what the indi's do, and if you look at the police Id allowed ships: fighters, freighters, transports, gunboats, cruisers, battleships. and if you see a inderpendant police guy fling a cruiser thats the military's job, if you want i will discuss with you about military recignission to gicve the police 2 cruisers, but not here. and it is a rule that we maintain an active fighter, so that we do regular patrols and stop smugglers IN fighters.

I must say that I'm a bit saddened by this:

If you prefer to wash your hands over a concern on how your behaviour in game might influence the players around you (both inside and outside your faction) then I must say you have no business requesting official status.

Well, if an independent police flying a cruiser is a military issue as you say, I don't see how a police faction using cruisers suddenly makes it any less of an issue. Hence me talking to you about it.

About the authorized ships for the police ID, I suggest you take a look at the new IDs for 4.85. Regardless, I'd say that replying about a reasoned concern with an outdated and greatly questioned list of authorized ships as is listed in an ID that's about to be changed deviates from the very purpose of this kind of thread.

ah ok, i understand now, i will keep the HQ as a prison liner then, care to suggest what to use as a command centre?

and yes, we need to set a good example to the indi's that is why we have highly limited ships and very strong RP.

I still think that the Battle Command Centre should be some sort of ship that could fight, but it won't because it contains alot of valuable equipment and the RFP wouldn't want it getting blown up by 5 Corsair Dreads raiding New Berlin (i hope they won't do that again...).
