rank & name: Initiate, Thea Gobeil
reporting from: Arranmore Base / Dublin
AAR # 001

Initiate Gobeil reporting after the events of the escorting the Ven'Gyr.

I must say it was quite a rock'n'roll mission for me since I never did such before. We took down with the aid of Mollys two vessels of the Bretonian Armed Forces. We lost two assets during the fight in Leeds. I suppose their pods were tractored and secured from the void of space. My vessel took some damages that could be troublesome if our destination was farther than Dublin.

When we arrived to Dublin system, Crowe asked me to remain on Arranmore to help around with the Ven'Gyr. This is what I will do until new orders arrive.

To conclude, I noticed that the interface of the Prosecutor I was given was quite peculiar in the looking. It happened quite a few times that the ship took some initiatives on its own, but I suppose it kind of preserved myself by doing so which is intriguing and concerning. I should get this verified. I suppose the higher ups can verify the ship in depths.

G'day Command,

Crikey, if I knew how much that Nervi fella was going to rip me off, I wouldn't have bothered. This has to be a two way streak to keep running, but he's doing everything in his power to scupper this operation before it has gotten off the ground. If one day it turns out he's working for the Republic, don't say I didn't warn yous.

Other than him, it's been alright, managed to hear about some Junker bloke that was trying to offload a bunch of meds out in Texas. Cost me an arm and a leg, not literally, but I managed to secure them. It's only the black market stuff, either way you'll be kept in the fight whether you like it or not. In total I got two full loads of black market pharmaceuticals, 3600 a few days back and another 3600 just a little while ago. I will say, some of it is unlabelled stuff, but he assured me it was all very good and that he'd tried most of it himself. Didn't seem to be off his nut, but I could be wrong. Never have been a good judge of character.

After meddling with the underbelly of Liberty for longer than I'd like to admit it was off to my favourite haunt besides Fontana, Halifax. While there I picked up 3600 units of MOX, given the unstable nature of it I was sure the boys and I would rock up at Pinnacle with less than that, but funnily enough we just made it. The full hold full actually made it in one go. None had broken down, there were no leaks of the stuff. Pretty proud of my boys and their conduct recently, a truly excellent logistics crew if I do say so myself.

Totals for the last few Weasel runs;
  • 7,200 Black Market Pharmaceuticals
  • 3600 MOX

The fuel issue is starting to concern me quite a bit. We're having to push the limits on how far we can travel before filling the old girl up; someday that'll come to bite us. Just don't sit right with me using up any more of Pinnacle's supplies. I've been trying to get it elsewhere but the costs are getting astronomical. Genuinely thinking a trip to the Sigmas might help the cause, don't know what else to do. Leave it with me, I'll figure something out.

Let me know if the supplies manifest changes.

Weasel out.

G'day Command,

I couldn't sit around on the fuel issue any longer, me and the crew took the tough decision to fly out to the Sigmas this evening. It was a rough journey, I'll say that much, but we did make it in one, albeit rough, piece.

Shoulda taken the hint that this run was going to be cursed, pretty much from the get go we had issues with the old girl. System outages, the usual, persistent this time mind you. Made it out to the Hudson hole in Texas before the real issues started. Bloody Weasel shut down entirely, controls unresponsive. We were a sitting duck, which is of course the time a god damn Xeno patrol came over to offer their assistance. Course that means a lot of gunfire, something we couldn't repay.

Probably five minutes before we had systems up and running again, felt like a lifetime with those bastards out there shooting the mulch out of my girl. As soon as we had fire control up and running we gave those sods the good news. Managed to pick up one of their pods in the aftermath too, but you know, I'm a clumsy fella, may have lost it in a nebula somewhere. Shame. It's a nasty way to go, suffocating in the vacuum of space. They deserve far worse.

Hudson, Hamburg, all went as okay as you'd expect, slightly less power in engine three, she was sparking something fierce. Made it into Frankfurt and headed for Bruchsal Base looking for supplies. Sadly this time they didn't seem to have much for me an the lads so we cracked on. After some critical repairs of course.

We made Sigma 13 our target, Newport Station to be exact. Which I would have said went well, if it had have done. It was nice using lanes again, I will say that. When coming out of the lanes we were set upon my a small Corsair patrol, which seemed to cut our shields like it was made out of jelly. Managed to get away thankfully, roughly in the direction of Newport, or so I thought. Ended up lost in a sodding gas field, ripped a few guns off the ship while flying through, engine 3 isn't sparking anymore, it's dead. Hull is torn up. Nerves are frayed. Could have gone better in all honesty. We did make it though, turns out we weren't lost, just taking the worst route possible.

Got a full load of H-Fuel ready to load. Having the Weasel looked over by the engineers here since they seem to know what they're talking about. Once we're repaired enough for the return journey we'll be off.

Avoiding the explosive gas clouds this time of course.

I'll keep you updated with any further issues.

Weasel out.

This'll be short and sweet; made some runs with the Reliant. Light arms from Praia, the rest of the Holotainment bands - which I sure as shit hope we are using for training sims, not leisure - and pillies from Gran Can, not the black market shit either. Ran a father and son to Gran Can along the way too. They were a bit shook up by the gas field around the Dublin hole since I popped in to run the Mollys some water and grabbed some Wildcat for the trip to Gran Can, but they'll live.

Manifest as follows:
  • 300 Holotainment Bands
  • 2600 Black Market Light Arms
  • 2900 Pharmaceuticals

Good Evening.

During a combat patrol in Pennsylvania we've run into a LSF and a Navy vessel. Watchful.Blade and Romeo~6. Major Crowe and Initiate Gobeil engaged both vessels and each of them destroyed one of them. They were rather easily dispatched. The fight didn't even take five minutes. Right after, a navy capital ship decided to take on the Arondight and the Sender. We've extended it an offer to surrender but it refused. Both of our 'gunships' destroyed the Archer. The patrol ended at Pinnacle without any casualties on our side.

'yello, nerds.

Good shit today. Paving the way for continued supplies to come through, and lookin' damn good doin' it. You guys make me proud.
Work's not done, though. Plenty of things need doing, and plenty of flight hours planned soon. Keep the fuel loaded, and your keys close.

For now, got a present for the newest among us. Initiate Thea Gobeil is one no longer. You've displayed the vigor, skill, and tenacity fitting of the Legion, and thus I'm proud to present you with both your promotion to Lieutenant, as well as the customary Burning Wings. Wear them well, and if you'd even like them stenciled to the side of your ship, hit me up.

Keep making the dream a possibility, guys.
Kick ass, take names, and look good doing it.

Good Afternoon.

Yesterday at exactly 1800 hours, I have taken command of the Ven'Gyr. Her engines roared to life and we left Arranmore on time with an escort wing of nine Legionnaires. The journey went quiet, we've not encountered any hostiles on our way. However, I have to report a little lack of discipline among some of the Legionnaires. As we moved through Omega Five, some of the Legionnaires took the wrong Jump Hole, ending up in Omega Fourty-Seven. One of them was Commander Scerri. We've waited in Omega Eleven for the stragglers but she never appeared. I assume the Commander took a different way as we could not find her. The ship successfully traversed several hazardous systems and barriers on it's way home. Neither the many asteroid fields nor the high radiation or dangerous gas pockets could stop her on her way home. Arriving in Vespucci, I have received it's final destination.

The Golden Dragon always accomplishes her mission. She is home safe.

First AAR from the new diggs. Rapport building with the locals in Pennsylvania is definitely paying off. We departed Pinnacle with a sizeable force under myself and Exarch West's command with the intent of running a diversion for the Incursus' later run from Valravn to Pinnacle. Sweeping New York, we encountered a Naval staging point near Norfolk Shipyard, which quickly grew to roughly equal numbers to our own. As combat began, they received a steady stream of reinforcements; primarily gunships and fighters, but a single Archer-class, the Donbastio, brought its guns to bear as well. Struikas and Yoruha arrived aboard the Sender, successfully drawing the Donbastio's fire at the cost of their own vessel, buying valuable time for Triantha and I to mop up the remaining fighters. I believe the proper milspeak for what we accomplished out there today, if I've been hearing Struikas right, is a Grand Slam. All targets destroyed or routed. Myself and the Technocrat Triantha survived and RTB'd Pinnacle.

Upon return to Pinnacle, I encountered a local Erie militant by the callsign Red Dandelion. I'll attach the log below, and I strongly encourage the Exarchy and command staff to review it. The number one thing these people seem to want assistance with is shoring up Pinnacle. I'm certain Tectarch West can do better than the sorry state it's currently in.

One last thing: one Celine Duval-Percier - callsign Triantha - who has assisted us on multiple occasions, mentioned in passing that her Nightjar belonged to Captain Emilia Osorio, who has been MIA for well over a year. I intend to reach out to her personally and investigate this matter further. The ship was evidently abandoned in mint condition. It's very likely that Osorio is alive out there somewhere.

As always, combatants and status follows:

Legionnaires,

At approximately 2300 hours, Guadalajara Standard Time, the HFF Sender suffered a reactor breach and was destroyed by the LNS Donbastio.

Lieutenant Mieko Iekahara suffered grievous injuries and still continued to evacuate survivors to lifeboats until the last possible second. She is already en route to Valravn via priority CASEVAC. Other casualties are being treated here at Pinnacle, or aboard the Incursus.

Lieutenants Wren Hawley and Pravin Jaiswal were.. unable to make it to the lifeboats in time. Commander Struikas gave his ship, and Legionnaires Hawley and Jaiswal gave their lives so that Major Crowe and their forces could complete their mission at Norfolk today. Their sacrifices were not in vain, nor will they be forgotten.

My.. first act as Fleet Admiral, will be to award Commander Andrew Struikas the Distinguished Service Cross, and with it, command of his own capital ship, should he so choose. I hear they manage to source Hels around here, some way, somehow.

Lieutenant Iekahara is to be awarded the Phoenix's Tears and Dusken Heart. Already injured, she put herself further in harm's way to save as many as she could, and may yet pay for it with her life. All other causalties of the Sender are to receive Dusken Hearts as well.

We will be holding a candlelight vigil on deck 7 here at Pinnacle at 0530 hours. Any and all are welcome to join.
