I'm in Australia and I get 420 ping all the time. It works from the amount of server hops I think (ask someone techy here, like 13CentKiller:P)

ok not to gripe but this has got to stop ive rin a server before (a few years back) nothing mass drops this many people this frequently its something server side just you admins probly xcant see it i know you shouldent but restart it if that dosent work then ok mabye it was conection problems or he should restart the machine or mabye its that new RAM card but somerthing is going on as my ping on conenction(from america with a 5 meg cablwe co0nection)is around 120-150 and the server has been droppiung people at a standard intervelagap from 90 to about 115 playes down to 66-60

Really Jimmy ? Well I was sitting watching our usually stable 4 meg up and down, dropping right off the
DU meter. Its not the hardware, its the ISP ...
Now I know that is normally more than enough connection, as it barely used 2 when it was monitored
with over 180 players on. Like I explained in game, there is nothing we can do about it ... It is out of
our hands, like you'll find, a lot of things in life actually are.
Its a game, its free, have a bit of patience please ...

now it is usually 200 plus. Lots of yellow lag.

all i said is if it kept going is sometimes a restart "refreshes" the conection integritybut about a minute after i poset if the "lag wave" passedhad it persisted welll i dont need to finish the sentence

Id be happy with that. I get Red icon quite a lot. My normal ping on FL is around the 340-380 mark.

Seriously people. Stop complaining about it. It's a free community maintained game. If you really want to complain, go complain to Microsoft who dropped it in the first place instead of complaining at the people who are trying their darnest.
Edit: sorry Dieter this isnt aimed at you - after rereading my post I thought it was too harsh. I'm just hearing alot of people whine about it - instead of being grateful that they even have it. And if you look at it the other way, people complain about it BECAUSE they are enjoying the mod and server.

I live in Darwin, Australia and get 420 ping constantly. Does it bother me? Not that much, only if it spikes to Red lag it effects gameplay.
Other times, it's fine.

I don't really get lag, just connectivity issues. Comcast had the bright idea to network where I live through the cable, as well as through the nearby college campus- thanks a lot, even when I plug into the wireless box I get minimal connectivity... HOW DO YOU GET BAD CONNECTIVITY THROUGH A WIRE????
