Please keep in mind that the Nomads right now are not some great all-powerful alien race.. they're still trying to recover from the final battle from the SP campaign. They should not have huge numbers of battleships at their disposal. Plus, AFAIK they never directly attacked humans in Sirius; they used that tentacle/mind control stuff.

Nomads are not humans; they are not individuals - as far as I understand, they are all linked to each other, like a giant neural network. They don't go rogue or anything like that. And even then, rogue nomads don't go around lolwutting.
