Ummm, I don't mean to sound like I'm whining, but 2 fighters and 2 bombers against a GB? I mean, I'm used to it (being overwhelmed) and it was a fairly inRP way to respond to a known terroristy dude like Abschnitt, but I'd hate to think that that kind of mentality permeates the rest of the RHA.

Not being there, but 2 of those pilots taking part were new guys. You would have shredded them to bits within minutes:)I know how dangerous you in the Abschnitt can be. Maybe it's a bit of overkill, but personally to my experience I think 3 ships vs Abschnitt caliber is quite fair game and the outcome is not even certain. Throw in the 4th and the chances are much better. But that's my experience of bringing down Wilde GBs.
And no, the mentality you fear, does not permeate the RHA to my knowledge. We are breaking in lotsa new guys and it takes time to gain the experience of the concept "fair and fun for all". RHA has not turned into a ganko squad (except if we catch you guys in o-54;)) and even if there are sometimes overkills, it's good to get feedback on them. Fights break out at where the people are. Currently it's in o-7. Not much you can do there. Unless one side decides to go to the other system and wait if the other side follows.
We have to see if this happens.

Only 1 bomber and 2 fighters mate. Against a scorp gunboat I would hardly call that ganking ya' know....
The guy that later joined was in a fighter, and he joined when you were already goin' down.

In west Dresden born and raised
On the Altenburg was where I spent most of my days
Doing missions' out Repping' relaxin' all cool
And all shootin some b-ball outside of school
When a couple of Hessians
Who were up to no good
Startin making trouble in my neighborhood
I got in one little fight and my Freind in an armorless GB with no guns got popped
And the hessians said '//UR SITTING NEXT TO A BATTLESHIP, NO FARE!!1!'

So, ganking isnt realy all that bad. It happens and you cant avoid it.
I'm a little peeved that they would not let my friend stay in system after they one-shoted his GB we were repping up, but its their right, so its cool.
Still, yelling OOC in local at the cruiser and GB for hiding next to a battleship and not coming out to play with 5 bombers, that ruffles my feathers a tic.
