ANOTHER QQ TOPIC! - Politus - 06-21-2012 ' Wrote:It's because Disco is slowly losing players. When Disco runs out of players, will it become the '80s? ANOTHER QQ TOPIC! - Sarawr!? - 06-21-2012 ' Wrote:getting chased by 20 TZ gunboats. But I have a TZ pirate gunboat. Anyway, there's pirates out and about, they're just on at odd times, or are indies and quiet about it (using no tags, or inconspicuous names). But they're out there, I see them every day. ANOTHER QQ TOPIC! - Sarawr!? - 06-21-2012 ' Wrote:Mhhyea, and you see "rebel/pirate" factions stomping around in capital cities too in tanks and APCs with fullautomatics Coin. Also, As a now inactive/former Deputy Chief of the LPI player faction, and current long time Liberty Navy [LN] player, I agree with Aet here. Yes, Freelancer is a game, but think in terms of the world the game is set in. You have pirates in warships attacking people in /space/. SPACE, is where the military has a law enforcement role, kind of like how Coast Guard's and Navies have a law enforcement role on the open ocean in any nation's territorial waters. I'm sure, in the world of Disco, you don't see the military performing law enforcement actions on planets, that's what the police are for. In space, it should be the House militaries, who are primarily hunting down pirates and terrorists in warships. It actually does make sense, in RP. Pirates, in ships, in Space, are not the same as common criminal gangs you'd see in any given city. As an added note though, I'll say this: Hunting smugglers, pirates in small ships, and enforcing trade laws, should be a Police responsibility, but nobody wants to just sit around doing that, which is how we got to the situation we're in. *shrug* ANOTHER QQ TOPIC! - Ursus - 06-21-2012 I agree, roll the police factions into the Navy factions. People can still RP as police units if they want to. But for the most part crime here isn't about knocking over a 7-11, it's about apache helicopters shutting down Interstate 5 between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, blowing up semi trucks to grab the electronics. ANOTHER QQ TOPIC! - Sarawr!? - 06-21-2012 xD Ursus, that's actually a reeeeeeeeeeeally entertaining picture you painted there. And I agree wholeheartedly XD ANOTHER QQ TOPIC! - Executioner - 06-21-2012 ' Wrote:WHERE ARE THE TRUE HARRRRR Pirates!!! You have luck, [HoT] group (real pirates) is on the vacation. ^^ But don't worry, I'm coming soon. ANOTHER QQ TOPIC! - lw'nafh - 06-21-2012 Coin was actually right in his second bit. Far too often do I try to engage one of the few haulers I meet in RP, even if it's just extended 'give me your money' roleplay to be greeted by silence and a wave of snubs while he runs off laughing about how I'm a 'Stupid coward'. ANOTHER QQ TOPIC! - Curios - 06-21-2012 I was trying to pirate novadays. 90% of traders are just silently running, F1'ing, going full tard. You're getting more blue then gold, what the point? ANOTHER QQ TOPIC! - Zynth - 06-21-2012 ' Wrote:I was trying to pirate novadays. Perhaps you should try piracy in a Transport? At least when you get blue, you get loot as well.
