RE: Public Newcomer Helper Log Thread - JosephLaks - 06-14-2021 On an unrelated note, what's the point of the Omicron Lost system? All I could find in there was 4 empty asteroids fields and an uninhabited planet. RE: Public Newcomer Helper Log Thread - extremejm - 09-21-2021 What are the rules for The Order attacking (unprovoked) Freelancers in the Omicron systems? Some Order Jackwagon ordered me to drop my Nomad remains **while currently in a mission to kill Nomads**... Is the Order like Liberty Police now? RE: Public Newcomer Helper Log Thread - Erremnart - 09-21-2021 Order can attack ships in Omicron Mu and Epsilon, and they can demand Nomad Materials (which means Nomad Remains as well) and attack said ships if they fail to comply. RE: Public Newcomer Helper Log Thread - Save My Soul - 09-21-2021 Just read their ID. They can demand alien materials. Think logically: they know that such materials can be very dangerous in the hands of common man, and they're ready to protect humanity from those things at any cost. Faction ID works as an addition to the server rules. So, know your ID, and always check ID of the player you interact with – this is what I can advise. Better luck next time! RE: Public Newcomer Helper Log Thread - extremejm - 09-21-2021 While I understand the logic Kittens, I was on a mission given to me by the Order... Seems rather like a catch 22. Also, it was in Omicron delta, not Mu or Epsilon. RE: Public Newcomer Helper Log Thread - Erremnart - 09-21-2021 Unless you have something like RP permission from the official faction - It doesn't matter - they can demand the materials regardless of your mission. RE: Public Newcomer Helper Log Thread - Save My Soul - 09-21-2021 Eh... You could at least inform that agent (or captain) that you're currently working for The Order, and undertake to deliver all alien materials to the base where you were given that mission. Or just drop it, yah, when you were ordered to do. But I'll assume that you did neither one nor the other, since he opened fire on you, right? Meow. UPD: And don't forget that missions (as well as whole PVE in general) are only part of game mechanics, and nothing more. Of course they can be (and should, ideally) played in RP, but the very fact of doing missions doesn't give you any privileges or protection when interacting other player. P.S.: Anyway, I just wanted to say that everything is in your hands. Where there's a will, there's a way. RE: Public Newcomer Helper Log Thread - vardek - 01-09-2022 Hi Can anyone tell me what a Docking Module is and how to use it Please?. Thanks Vardek RE: Public Newcomer Helper Log Thread - Zentor - 01-09-2022 (01-09-2022, 07:26 AM)vardek Wrote: HiDocking Modules enable certain transports and capital ships to allow small "snub" fighters (fighters and bombers) to dock on board them. You need 1 Docking Module mounted per ship you wish to allow docking (and a slot to mount each module aboard your ship) Once you have the module installed, the snub can choose the dock function whilst having your ship selected and you can approve it by type /allowdock whilst having them selected. You can view docked ships by typing /listdocked and forcibly jettison ships with /jettison <shipname> RE: Public Newcomer Helper Log Thread - Zentor - 01-09-2022 You can purchase Docking Modules from certain Player Onwed Bases (POB's) who sell advanced equipment (Oceana Shipping Platform in Cortez for example) Best to check the main Discovery Discord mining-and-trade to ask who all sells them. |
