Just verified that GMG do actually start on a fresh character as "No-dock Neutral". Possible oversight for a brand new character repsheet?

Wichter is a great tip! Breuninger Depot won't let me dock either (docking at this base is restricted). I will experiment a little more, but this trade route seems to work much better than the suggested route for the reasons I stated in my earlier post (unable to dock).

Hi

I came back to Freelancer after 10+years. I wanted to ask about player made ships. Are they any different from the ones u Can buy at npc shipyard or what IS the benefit of making one.

Yes they generally have some "special" aspect, for example the Longhorn is a heavily armored transport, it has more firepower then almost all transports, same deal with the Bristol explorer.
Liberty and Corsair factions can build capital ships that are pretty much their own separate class of ship.
There is also the Barge, it has 29k cargo, which is a good bit more then anything else
The Bustard, a capital ship that can be used by any group
And the Hegemon, which you can buy at NPC bases too, but sometimes it is more convenient to build one.

you can look with your own eyes ... go to single player type cash 9999999, and then rep = 1 and then base Cambrai , and go to ship dealer and buy one and test fly it Wink
