Can we get a way to turn off the light effects for other people's ships? This kind of stuff is pretty annoying to look at. That's a Cutlass, since you probably can't tell with those giant lights in the way.

I totally agree.
Shooting a ship that has huge pink lights can really affect my aiming.

Abusing pimp lights by some players is getting more and more popular. Game provides it, it's not sanctionable, so... shell we all have it now?

Easy Fix would be to simply adjust the light_equip.ini

However you would want an admin to give the go ahead for that.
it only contains light effects anyway.

I reported such behaviour before, it was processed but did not result in any action.

Needless to say, something like that is ridiculous. Place that light bulb into Tau 37 and it is totally invisible.

Random suggestions:
1). Snubcraft are restricted from Pimpship
2). Light size is restricted on Snubcraft pimpship.

Simple rule: "Messing with the lights in a way that pisses the Admins off results in the deletion of that ship plus one random one for being an asshat".

It seems people need to be forced to behave and will be idiots until they feel the boot on their toes. This is really sad.

That, and nothing more.

I'd say that's a bit extreme.
It's similar to a rule on a forum I was on which was "No bright or eye catching avatars".
Basically, I had to complain for ages to an admin to get that changed because his opinion of that rule was no gifs full stop or images of Scott Pilgrim.

People's need to "find easier ways" dies last. As long as abusable lights are available, that long someone will try to abuse lights. That's how we invented fire, wheel, beer, mini-skirts, nuclear energy etc...

Game being able to protect it self would make less sanction reports. So some admins could do something else. Maybe even play FL sometimes, or simply enjoy life, idk
