The "Ambrosia" - Colonial Bar on Sabah Shipyard - Arioch - 06-14-2013 ![]() "Alright boys - That's it. We're good to go! Now have a seat, grab a drink, and lets open 'er up." The man speaking looks around, walks behind the bar and presses play on the music player. The man continues examining the bar, pleased with how smoothly things turned out. From the glass panels with the three main departments of the Republic, to the gorgeous view to Yuma on one side to the view of the planets in the distance that are home to both New Hope East and New Hope West on the other, to the orangish-red accent lights that line the walls, this would be a bar for all those on Sabah and visiting to enjoy. The man walks over to the drink menu, examining its contents and ensuring everything was listed correctly. The Ambrosia Drink menu Wrote: "Oye Sam, where is the damn food menu?" The man bellowed towards the kitchen. "It's not done yet! I told you this last night Lou. The food menu still isn't complete! Get off my back, will ya? I'm working as fast as I can." Yelled the man back.
Lou Marcus sighed and shook his head. *The first hurtle during the grand opening* he thought. *Could be worse* He continued his examination of the rest of Ambrosia. Walking to the entrance, he stopped to look at the posting for rules when entering this fine establishment: The Ambrosia Rule List Wrote:1: No fighting, pushing, shoving. Unless deserved. A loud laugh is heard as Lou walks away from reading the list. *Gotta give that boy some credit for those* he thought. After walking around a bit more, and making a note of the tables, the chairs, the booths that are a nice dark red leather from some of the wildlife from ******, he finally sits down near the door, waiting for the first patron to enter...
***UPDATED DINNER MENU*** RE: The "Ambrosia" - Colonial Bar on Sabah Shipyard - Luke. - 06-14-2013 Laz's second patrol as a Warrant Officer had just ended. It was a long one and his thirst was dire. He walks into the bar and takes his place mid way down against the wall. The he notices the menu and decides to have a gander. "Hmm...that looks like fun" He said quietly, with a large grin on his face. "I could certainly get used to this place" The waiter enters and see's his first customers. RE: The "Ambrosia" - Colonial Bar on Sabah Shipyard - Wolfs Ghost - 06-14-2013 She took in a deep breath, put on her best smile, and pushed a few locks of her red hair behind her ear. She wore what could best be described as a form fitting navy blue dress that ended just above her knees with matching heels. A typical outfit for what she had always considered a typical outing... when she worked with the Armed Forces back in Bretonia. However, this was more than a typical night, she was going to the grand opening of a bar on Sabah station. One specifically for members of the Colonial Military. Easily, she strolled through the doors of the Ambrosia, her soft blue eyes studying the layout before a small smirk twisted her smile. Hopefully tonight would be a wonderful night, and she hoped that she would at least be able to meet someone interesting. For now though, she made her way across the floor towards the bar, her heels clicking against the flooring every stepped she made. There was a certain way that she carried herself, that suggested she was from a family with money. "Hit me with the hardest drink you've got." Aeyrn spoke up towards the bartender. RE: The "Ambrosia" - Colonial Bar on Sabah Shipyard - Havok - 06-14-2013 The Grand Opening of the "Ambrosia". What a fitting name the bar had chosen for itself. An all Service member Bar on Sabah. It is the first of its kind in the Colonial Forces, and hell, he just had to get a look in on opening night. Raise some peoples hopes when he steps into the room just by seeing the Sunglasses. He chuckled to himself as he walked down the corridor to the bar entrance. Turning the Corner to the Bar, Nighthawk slid his Sunglasses into the right position on the bridge of his nose, he checked his outfit, it was a simple flight suit really, gray in color, the flight suit specifically of Rapier Squadron. He opened the doors and stepped inside, taking a breath and looking around. The place was nice, better than he had expected , and there were already a few patrons here. He nodded to the bartender before walking up to the bar and hopping onto one of the stools , studying the Menu. "Let met have an Old Crayter" , He exclaimed to the Barkeep before setting down the Menu again and looking over his shoulder into the room. He always checked his surroundings , no matter where. It was a force of habit. RE: The "Ambrosia" - Colonial Bar on Sabah Shipyard - SummerMcLovin - 06-14-2013 "Steady on there, there's some pretty nasty stuff we managed to source behind this bar." Standing behind Aeyrn was Michael Frost, Senior Officer and squadron leader of the Hell's Angels. Usually swapping between variations on a casual flight uniform, he'd thought to try something a bit more civilian for the 'grand opening'. He was of course one of the first here, given that most bars were better than those on Barrier. Easier to keep an eye on the spook from a table, but some things were worth making an exception for. Watching her come in, he'd picked up on her demeanour - put on or otherwise - and thought this was at least an interesting girl. Seems they'd managed to bring in a few recently... "For one thing, that'd probably be whatever they dissolve the cardi into to mask the taste, for those unlucky enough to need it. I'll have a Maldava Rum, and I think the same for the lady. Unless you have a problem with Corsair product?" RE: The "Ambrosia" - Colonial Bar on Sabah Shipyard - Kiith - 06-14-2013 "So, that's it, hum?" More like talking to herself, but not very quiet, Elaine stood right beneath the door, looking into the bar. Frowning, but with a smile on her face she shook her head. "What a giant waste of Space!" Chuckling, the woman finally decided to make some more steps into the room. When looking at her, it would become obvious soon how she did not really care for any preparations on her clothing or anything else before coming here, even if today would be the great opening event. Seeing as, at the end of the day, this place still was on Sabah shipyard, the whole etablissement would soon have to get used to this certain kind of persons - those who just turn up in their flight suits, or in more or less dirty civilian clothing, the hair looking like a place where some birds would happily breed in. And after approximately two hours of shouting at the chief engineer on Sabah for messing up almost every system of the Taxidiotis and a hard day of work Elaine definately came here for the drinks and maybe an entertaining conversation, but not for a gala evening. With a little sigh she sat down at the bar, quickly looking around. Seemingly, she was a bit early for the party to start. Only the staff and some other folks were here right now, and the Ambrosia was everything but crowded. However, Elaine finally discovered what she was actually looking for: placed at a well visible place there was the drink menu. After examining it for a moment she knocked at the counter to get noticed by the bartender. "Yo, hey over there. Guess you should advertise your dive a bit more. It's like totally empty by now, even if your drinks might be good! While we're at this topic, how about you hand over one Old Crayter Ale? And shame on you if it's not old, or from Crayter!" With a wink she again knocks at the counter as if that would enter her order into a computer. RE: The "Ambrosia" - Colonial Bar on Sabah Shipyard - Zephyranthes - 06-14-2013 As the patrons enjoyed the beverages and conversation, a man in a well-kept suit, whose lanyard indicated him as a Colonial Mover by the name of David Tennyson, switched the song to an old classic that had continued to be popular with the Crayterian people. After doing so, he leaned against the jukebox, and twirled around a small datapad in his right hand, doubtlessly used to operate the jukebox. From the entrance of the bar came a man wearing civilian clothing, consisting of a navy blue t-shirt, khaki pants, and black sneakers. Those who knew him would recognize his face as that of Sierra, and his figure went over to sit by Nighthawk, signaling the bartender as he sat down. "Make that two, on my tab." He passed the appropriate amount on a credit chit to the bartender, before turning to face Nighthawk, an amused look on his face. "Do you ever take those damn things off?" RE: The "Ambrosia" - Colonial Bar on Sabah Shipyard - Johnathan Nox Carter - 06-14-2013 ![]() He had a few quick looks around, a hasty examination of the entire room and, obviously, as he spotted Nighthawk and Sierra he slightly grinned. He thought to himself: Expected, but not as preferred. It was an agent's duty to... make sure everything is in order, even if it's just a bar (or a colleague that goes into a bar), so Sentry decided to join Nighthawk at the table. He looked right into the other agent's eyes and said with a friendly tone. I see you kept your word to that Officer the other day. After a few seconds, he subtly waved at the bartender, as if they knew each other, then turned back towards the other two. RE: The "Ambrosia" - Colonial Bar on Sabah Shipyard - Havok - 06-14-2013 Nighthawk laughed a bit as Sierra joined him and ordered the two drinks on his tab. He shook his head adjusting the shades and turning a bit to face him. "How Sweet of you to buy me a Drink" He chuckled and then turned to Sentry, who joined them aswell. "You are a face i did not expect to meet, but of course, i do not break my promises." He looked around the room, it was quite obvious that he was doing so , and everyone would know. Hell, the whole bar was probably focussed on the three , and it was obvious they were all spooks, because noone other than a spook dared to sit with another spook. 'What brings you two in?" RE: The "Ambrosia" - Colonial Bar on Sabah Shipyard - Arioch - 06-14-2013 Lou watched as everyone walked into the bar. *This is going better than I thought!* Ne nodded as he recognized friendly faces, and made note of those he didn't. As he watched, he noticed a fellow Mover walk into Ambrosia. As Elaine made herself to the bar, she motioned the bartenders attention.
"Don't worry lad, I got this" Lou said to the bartender. "So Elaine, pleasure seeing you here! An' don't worry. The Old Crayter Ale is from my personal stock that I've kept safe. You have my word that it's old and Crayter!" He laughed heartedly. After a few exchanges with some other patrons, Lou walked into the center of the room. "Everyone, I would like to thank you for coming to the Grand Opening of the Ambrosia bar on Sabah! By now, you have more than likely viewed the rules, and seen the drink menu. As many of you know me, I'm always open for ideas and will take your suggestions under consideration. After all, this is my gift as Mover Maestro to you all. A place for you to relax and call your own! At this time, while more people are showing up, we have a treat for you. Tonight's entertainment is a special event for us all, as the band "The Crayterians" will be performing select songs for us. At this time, I would like to draw your attention to the back of the room where they will be setting up, and the show will begin shortly. In the meantime, drinks are on the house for all those present!" After the last words left his mouth, the band members started filing their way into the main room to set up. A few minutes go buy, and the drummer taps his drumsticks to indicate the show is about to start. The band leader approaches the microphone. "Everyone, a moment of silence. This song is dedicated 'for those we left behind...'" |
