Capital Class Submission (no particular position decided) - Gwyvern - 06-24-2013 http://p3d.in/wDc62 Ignore the file name, that is for my benefit in keeping my files organized This is a prototype mesh for a capital class, what it can be used for is up to you guys, but included with this mesh are: Thought out hard point placement potential: Integrated hardpoints for up to 4 battleship heavies Integrated hardpoints for 2 or 4 primaries Integrated hardpoint potential for 8 to 12 secondaries Possibility to include an integrated forward gun in the mesh If a battleship is not desired, minor changes can be made to the mesh to make it work at cruiser size If this mesh would be considered, i can provide any support necessary, and i can even furnish a texture for it if it will be used RE: Capital Class Submission (no particular position decided) - Luis - 06-24-2013 This looks like it can fit for a replace of the Hacker Gunship. Looks pretty cool IMO. Making the mesh proper for gunship size would take a fair bit of doing, but if the devs would consider it for any position i would be wiling to make it work any way possible RE: Capital Class Submission (no particular position decided) - Sabru - 06-24-2013 Looks cool. I could see it as a cruiser. for who though, i have no clue. RE: Capital Class Submission (no particular position decided) - Lunaphase - 06-24-2013 Honestly id like to see this as a heavy lift transport with thick armor, similar to the salvager and raba. 4 gb gun slots and some transport slots would make a pretty nifty frigate, and would make sense for it due to the fact it looks, in my opinion, heavy industrial. We really dont need more capital ships so much as we need more transport variety for 3600 and below. Currently options are much more limited since pretty much everyone has a cap line at this point. RE: Capital Class Submission (no particular position decided) - t0l - 06-24-2013 Perhaps a replacement for the brick that is known as the Thanatos? RE: Capital Class Submission (no particular position decided) - Veygaar - 06-24-2013 Lane Hackers, Borderworld, and the CR had a get together and made a baby it seems. ...I like it. I like the thanatos... the Kronos however, as far as i am concerned is just a brick with some space engines mortared onto the back I also believe that the Coalition does not have a battleship class, and though i am not too fond of Lunaphase's suggestion, as i have stated, if the devs give any consideration to it i will go along with their judgement and even alter the mesh accordingly to make it better suit any role it might have. |
