Having trouble in decorating home - adlen - 07-12-2013 I build my new house by special builders, really nice and appreciative work, I am totally satisfied with them. Now I want to make house a home by decorating it, what about floor stripping ? My friend suggest me to made a accent wall in my bedroom but I think papering the wall looks better. What about you? Any idea or suggestion will be appreciated. RE: Having trouble in decorating home - sindroms - 07-12-2013 Hull panels. Super Alloy. if you cant afford SA, then use basic alloy RE: Having trouble in decorating home - Jansen - 07-15-2013 I wouldnt ever go and paper a wall again, its a pain to get it on the wall and its a pain to get it from the wall. Plastering is much easier and at least in my opinion looks better. RE: Having trouble in decorating home - Strichev - 07-17-2013 Plaster the walls and paint them white. Keep them as bare as possible. Sure, hang a few paintings, photos of nature, a map or something, just don't overdo it. The worst thing you can do is decorate garishly. The furniture should be practical and easy to clean. Choose bright, light colours. Not too striking but definitely not dark. You get the point. Make sure it has nice flat surfaces that are easy to clean. Ornately embellished furniture is a nightmare. In the bathroom you should also avoid dark tiles. You don't want a morbid bathroom, do you? Marble can also be ugly. The tile gaps...don't mention those to me. Make sure they're easy to clean. Small. The kitchen. Large, spacious working surface is a must. The kitchen furniture shouldn't have "shiny" surfaces that are sensitive and require extensive cleaning on an almost daily basis. Like computer screens there are two types. My bad English vocabulary prevents me from finding the right words. The shiny type of screens and the one that doesn't reflect sunlight that much. Same is with kitchen stuff. Also, plants! As many as possible! The more the better. Plants. Every home needs a plant in every room that has a window. Edit: I may want to turn a house into a laboratory-like sterile environment. Am I obsessed with cleanness? RE: Having trouble in decorating home - Govedo13 - 07-17-2013 The best way is to find female to do it for you. Man just suck in such stuff, since I does not care about decoration as well I just my girl to decide what to buy what colour etc. |
