Recommend a Fighter! - Cawdor - 07-08-2008
Well, I built up a little Fighter collection but right now, I feel a little bored with my old toys, so I am looking for some new one that is interesting, extravagant or just uber. Since I hate to be an independent as it is just plain boring, I would join the respective faction that holds the recommended vessel.
My current collection:
- Odin
- Loki
- Sabre
- Viper
- Viper MK2
- Stinger
- Ravens Talon
- Templar
- Eagle
Factions I won't join: Corsairs, RM, KNF, All of Liberty

I thought about the BHG ships to be honest, they are rumored to be quite good, especially the HF. Why would you recommend the apophis?

The arrow is only like, the most fun (yet simultaniously frustrating) ship to fly in the game.
It's purchased on california minor. It's faster and harder to hit than any other ship with the exception of the slipstream - and only because that one has a stupidly borked hitbox. The arrow only has two guns though...
My advice if you want to pvp in it: Give it a nuke mine, train cruise disruptor, and two class 9 shieldbusters - either tizzies or imp debs. Run your target out of shield batteries with the shieldbusters, then drop a bunch of nuke mines around him and hit him with a train CD to blow them up.

I flew one with my xeno for a while. It's pretty much crap in pvp, unfortunately.
I used two black widows with it, which was great against npcs for missions and such, but with the shieldbusters it'd probably do better. It actually isnt half bad against capships if you've got bomber support, since you can fly circles around the cap dropping nuke mines on him and quite easily avoid the turrets.
