Hi everyone. I?ve noticed that all the factions have a "guard". What are they? Are they separate factions? What can you tell me about it? Thanks:crazy:

most factions have a 'guard system' belonging to them which has bases that sell some of the best equipment available (top end faction guns, highest armor upgrades, occasionally capital class ships, etc). These systems are patrolled by 'guard' NPC's which are more powerful than standard NPC's.
It's harder to increase a faction guard rep than it is to increase a normal faction rep. That means that while a player may have nuetral rep with, say, the liberty navy... the liberty navy guard will still be hostile to them - so they wont be able to enter the guard system without being attacked.

And earning a Guard tag can be a very rewarding experience. I worked for a while to get my Bounty Hunter Guard tag, and when I finally did, it felt great. Hard work pays off. I just wish my tag (viewed by others) would read Guard also. :( Hopefully with the next version of Discovery that will be implemented.
