Which is the best transport for selfdefense? - Wraga - 07-29-2013
What do you think, which is the best transport what can defend itself?
Opinions, experiences welcomed.
Ps: I already know, they arent battleships, but I would like to know, which is the best against snubs, gunboats in your opinion.

For me as a pirate, the salvager is probably the most hated ship. That and the Renzu liner with a cap upgrade, although the later is a bit more easy to hit.

I think it depends a little on what you define as "self defense" is it running only? Or killing your attacker?
The Yacht, Salvager and raba are great due to their HP in combination with a fat CAU.
Things like the armored Transport and the P-Transport are also big players .
The Kamome is also a surprisingly tough cookie whith its tiny size.
The well known battletransports never struck me as overly abusive towards me as a VHF pirate - still with their HP they can sure run away ....

Battletransports like Bison will do. Many turrets, nice armor and regen capacity. It'll hold until you either reach a docking spot or cripple the pirate ship so he runs away.

No offense, mate, but that fellow was a errtard. Why would you even try to TZ a transport in a gunboat....
Anyway, when it comes to bombers, mounting a class 2 shield also helps.

Your question is right.
I prefer opinions about ships what can defend themselves, aka "killing their attacker".

This. It's also well-armed and smaller than you might think. Bretliner is Bestliner.
The other choices mentioned are good too.
Edit: Also, unless your attacker is totally incompetent, you're not going to kill them.
At best, you can force them to leave.
