Remove them from the mod.

Guess you can't just remove them now, since same logic would apply as the one that prevents the removal of zoner/hessian battleships - too much people invested too much cash into that.

I think they are a good addition, but I'd think it may be better to limiting them in some form or another. Spamming them for pointless reasons, player to player, its not really the best in my eyes.
Limiting them to SRP and Official Factions appeals to me, granted most of the community doesn't like the idea.

I find it funny how people complain the Bass Hunters are breaking RP, when so many bases are made by indies who inRP wouldn't need a base, let alone be able to supply one. And no, I don't mean unofficial factions, I mean the two or three guys who build a base together because why not. I think it would benefit the server greatly to make them something that you at least need to run through the forums or something first to get approval.

Open's too abusable, SRP's too harsh. Restricting to official factions is useless because officials can get their own systems and have permanent bases built.
Remove 'em.

SRP, perfect. It will motivate people to SRP more which also improves their current RP. I'd say SRP is just perfect, since player need to write a story of the base, where did it come from? What is it exactly? Whats its purpose and many other things. The names would also be more cool and more according to RP, means you wont see any base called "ZONER ALLIANCE COMMUNICATION" or whatever else.
