Hi, I thought I would say as much. I am reasonably new to FL, and specifically, very new to Discovery. I have never played RP on any online game, although I do play World of Warcraft.
I play Pen and Paper RPG on Friday nights so have got RP experience but never in this type of environment.
I hope to get to know people on here and look forward to playing with you.

Welcome. World of Warcraft is a totally different thing from freelancer, be it on roleplay aspect (from what I've seen, the rp there is 0) and community (we have about 90% less 1337 speacker, people boasting their pride to be able to speack russian or spanish, etc).
It is actually more enjoyable by my opinion.
Beware of the communist penguins of course.

G'day mate! welcom to discovery! read the rules a fer hundred times, obey them and then you and me will get along.
A few more suggestions:
Watch out for comunist penguins(their planning an invasion)
and Cabage kings (hes an egotistical maniac)
and the best tip anyone can give you around here--

thanks guys, I hope to enjoy this as much as other games, I have played WoW on both PVP and RP servers, they are totally different and although I spend majority of my time on PVP server (thats where my friends play mainly) I prefer the RP due to the less 1337 and forign languages.

I used to play WoW on the Stormreaver realm. I sold my account with 70's on it for around two grand. I had five level 70's. Rogue, Warrior, Priest, Mage, and Hunter. I enjoyed the game, but it lost it's flavor. This new environment will change the way you play games for certain.
Anyway, welcome to the madhouse, make sure you read the rules here.

However, maybe you're one of the people that likes to lead instead of follow. If you wish to start a faction please post here. However, don't forget to get the 500 million credit tax first!

Played Guildwars, didn't like the fact you could only meet new people in the cities and towns.
I also played Vanguard when it was first released but my PC wasn't good enough to play it well.
and I did some SW-G beta tests...
WoW is the only Fantasy RPG I have managed to get into, SW-G I would have carried on playing but they changed the control system and I didn't like that.
Oh and I played a bit of City of Heroes when they had the free trial a few months back, good game but too limited in the case of missions.

I played WoW on the Misha server. It was fun
Try Rappelz, it is entirely free, and its alot like Guild Wars cept it has a higher lvl cap and you can see people outside of towns and such.
