Starting Ship and Cash on Private Server - oARCHONo - 09-16-2013
Greetings,
I recently started my own Discovery server.
I was curious how to edit the starting cash for new players and the starting ship.

EDIT: Also, I wanted to know why all of the wrecks on my server have no loot in them? Again, thanks for the assistance

Hi there,
Go to the folder where you installed Freelancer, open the EXE folder and find the file "mpnewcharacter.fl".
Open the file with notepad or some other editor and find this line: "money = %%MONEY%%".
Change "%%MONEY%%" into the amount of credits you like and then save the file and every new character will get that amound.
Ignore the " and .
Goodluck with it.

Editing starting cash worked, but I would still like to edit starting ship. Also, how do I populate wrecks with equipment? All of the wrecks on my server are not lootable... empty.

I`m glad that worked for you, but I can`t help you any longer since I have no idea how to change the other things but I wish you good luck with your server and may it always be populated!

Thank you for you help. I'm bumping this again in hopes that someone knows how to change the starting ship.
