Constant login attempts from China on your Google account? - sindroms - 09-26-2013
Anyone else getting this?
I have been notified about these so called "Prevented suspicious login attempts" every week, and even though I did a lot of looking into it, both the time and date of other people asking on information sites both hosted and not hosted by Google, I was wondering if others are getting these.
I literally am getting at least one of these warnings every week or two weeks. This is becoming very concerning, because of various reasons, but all of the attempts seem to be coming from China.
Is anyone else getting this issue?
I have a theory, but for that I do not have proof. If you are getting these constantly, mind telling me what field of work are you in?

Happens. My gmail was listed on the Cordilon forums for a while back in the day, and it used to get attempted logins from China all the time then.

Spammers... The gmail account for Ursus got accessed from China because I used a common password for my alias. They got the username/email/password from some forum login, and used the account to send spam. That was a couple of years ago before Gmail started blocking logins from China.

Nope, more likely NSA....all the research I did on the IRA for Molly RP got me a knock on the door and held up in UK customs at Heathrow during my trip to Europe this summer.
