Got accosted by two VHFs that weren't Corsairs in Gamma. I told 'em what to do with their demand and took off.
The chase started in Gamma and ended up in O-41, where I lost my CM dropper (but had a lot of b/b left) and decided after getting a few clicks' distance to drag them through the minefield, and then after that failed to finish them off, decided to make my final stand a couple k from the Neutron Star. Like I said, I had a lot of bots left.
After darting in and realizing the perils present in a cornered transport shooting in an environment designed to eat you alive, they called me a few nasty names and left me alone.
Was this a valid tactic or an abuse of the vast durability difference between transport and fighter?
Note: I would have paid ransom except for a few extremely important details (wrong kind of ship for pirating, wrong tags, etc) and poor roleplay on their part.
PS: We need more fun systems like that one. More black holes, more random deadly mines to drag enemies through, more incredibly dangerous and expensive-to-repair radiation damage.

That's a perfectly valid tactic. Using their ship's disadvantages against them. Nice use of the neutron star too! Kudos to you.

But I'm glad that while the tactic of discussion is a bit mean-spirited, that it's also valid.
(Now to have Navy/Police fighters chase me into La Grande Negra when I get caught in Texas...)
