Cupholders, and why they need a fifth forward-firing weapon - Haste - 11-17-2013 So. The new Upholder is a medium bomber. Much more fitting. Doesn't take away that it's an unusually easy target to hit for any kind of ship. Soooo.. Let's make it follow the Liberty 'pattern' of front-firing turrets. Remove the two rear-firing ones it has, and make one fire to the front. Much like the BHG Bomber, just better-looking on a poster. Discuss. RE: Cupholders, and why they need a fifth forward-firing weapon - sindroms - 11-17-2013 Give the same treatment for the Barghest then, because that thing is even easier to hit. And the Waran. And Fafnir. Their guns are a secondary thing anyway. Medium bombers still get to use guns occasionally without getting shredded. And yeah. The Fafnir already has a fair amount of forward-firing weapons. RE: Cupholders, and why they need a fifth forward-firing weapon - Lythrilux - 11-17-2013 IMO Upholder needs a new model. RE: Cupholders, and why they need a fifth forward-firing weapon - nOmnomnOm - 11-17-2013 IMO backward firing guns are a waste unless you can TS RE: Cupholders, and why they need a fifth forward-firing weapon - kikatsu - 11-17-2013 A new model for the thing would be kind of cool... but at least now it is a little bit more competitive in game. I dunno what to do with the turrets, but right now they are of little use... but that is the same with most bomber turrets RE: Cupholders, and why they need a fifth forward-firing weapon - Pilip - 11-17-2013 This mod will be history and still no one will notice that there are no law side bombers in liberty, only guardians and battleships. too bad for the awesome high techy design, aside from that ''thickness'' of wings from liberty snub fashion which i guess nobody like ) (see order..not so thick and nice), i like that line, makes ships distinctive and very Terran like..![]() and the rear firing weapons on normal snubs especially bombers? i havent seen anyone yet using them, really you're not gonna hurt anyone, bleed to death, with two slow firing weapons...( or 1!) I'm not criticizing...just ....whi not making things in a logical way. (any word on that LSF fighter/bomber design disputed in the pre beta?really wicked) RE: Cupholders, and why they need a fifth forward-firing weapon - Haste - 11-17-2013 I did say forward-firing, not rear-firing, people. Which basically means giving it five forward-firing guns. Given it's not quite the size of a heavy bomber, but not too great for a medium one either, five guns seems like a nice buff that wouldn't harm anyone, but would make the ship a tad more worth using. Of course, improving/replacing the model works too. |
