Lane Hackers - Radarade - 12-08-2013
So did a bunch of players just decide to go Lane Hacker for a day? After being away from the game for a few weeks due to family/work stuff, my first encounter upon coming back is being tailed by a LH gunboat, flying past a liberty planet into a trade lane with me. Get on the other side of a jump gate, and almost immediately hits me with a CD, THEN shouts Halt now, and demands 500k. I start lagging, get a delayed "you've got 30 sec to comply" and by the time I'm able to start shooting back I kablooie.
10/15 minutes later after I fix my net, I pop back on and spend another 5/10 minutes getting myself out of Westpointcause I'm stuck. And then, on the way to Planet Manhattan, end up getting stopped by 3 more lane hackers. Just normal players with the ID, no IFF. And again, demanding 500k. Again this ends in my destruction. So, wonderful night of Discovery RP mod.
Is there a convention going on I don't know about? o_0

Unless I'm getting them mixed up. I'm still relatively new. The first player had the LH in their name, and when targeted was listed as "Hacker", the other three came up listed as "Hackers" but had nothing special displayed in their names.

Thats fine then. the "hackers" part is the IFF. The LH part is a faction tag.
You were just unlucky I guess with those hackers. 500k isn't that bad though. Should have given it to them and ran xD

Ye, I've noticed a lot more people playing hackers now. I guess LH~ has made them popular or something.

I haven't actually seen many Falchions. I've seen a lot of LHGS's though.

Falchions i guess is not so popular because its new. I like it a lot though. Handling and everything seems sweet to me.

You were indeed unlucky, and a bit of a wally.
We lowered the tax to a measly 100k as we didn't want to blow you up, and told you so. Then you made a stupid comment about us being "love birds", was even then given a further 10 seconds to pay. Only then did you get your worthless RP and ship blown into bits.
IFF's are nerfed it seems.
