Turn off some plugins for a week. - Lythrilux - 02-06-2014 Well, the best way to diagnose the lag is buy running the server with and without things, to close in on the problem. Why don't we close a select few plugins for a week to see what happens, in terms of fever playability. Dunno which ones should go first. How about the shipcompat and tech nerd ones? :3 RE: Turn off some plugins for a week. - Niverlare - 02-06-2014 Instead of turning one plugin off and shortly after back on, turn everything you've recently added off. Turn them back on until things start lagging again. Seriously, this is elementary-school logic. I can't believe it's that hard to figure out which of your stupid decisions is causing the server to go apecrap once 3+ ships turn up on the screen. RE: Turn off some plugins for a week. - Curios - 02-07-2014 My guess is that those 1.5 people running the works with the server are busy with update 6. RE: Turn off some plugins for a week. - Avalanche - 02-07-2014 I'm up for this idea. Better to sacrifice a month or so finding the issue than losing another couple of dozen frustrated vets. RE: Turn off some plugins for a week. - Vipera Berus - 02-07-2014 If i mysteriously disappear after saying this you will all know why but when has power not corrupted? Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. RE: Turn off some plugins for a week. - Kazinsal - 02-07-2014 (02-06-2014, 09:02 PM)Lythrilux Wrote: Dunno which ones should go first. RE: Turn off some plugins for a week. - Hidamari - 02-07-2014 I was going to suggest this but then a random wild forum ban appeared without any warning. Due to potential additive or even synergistic effects between components the only sensible way to narrow down the problem was mentioned earlier. If somebody will be interested in your disappearance, I guess your post will disappear too so nobody will actually notice that something happened and you disappeared... And I´m not sure if I would miss this post. |
