The Republic of Hospitals - /RepHos/ - Information & Feedback - t0l - 02-09-2014 The Republic of Hospitals
History: The Republic of Hospitals was originally a loose coalition of various hospitals that worked in conjunction with one another on Planet Cambridge, officially formed in 819 A.S. While it hasn't seen much serious action since, the group's ideals spread throughout Bretonia's hospitals and various other medical facilities, forming a House-wide network of readily-available medical professionals. In 820 A.S, the former Chairman of the Board was replaced by Doctor Raymond Wallace, an avid researcher and acclaimed medical expert. Under the guidance of Doctor Wallace, the Republic of Hospitals spread all throughout Sirius, eventually engulfing nearly every hospital in the Sirius Sector, and creating a sector-wide web of doctors and nurses. However, despite the Republic of Hospital's rapid growth, they did not venture out into space until early 821 A.S, when a major ion storm struck Sirius and remained for weeks upon weeks. With millions helpless and stranded by the sudden onslaught of ions, members of the Republic of Hospitals began using freighters and transports to serve as mobile medical centers for those who were unable to reach a local hospital or clinic. The Republic of Hospitals Mobile Aid Division was officially put into action on January 12th, 821 A.S. Eventually, to the present day, the Mobile Aid Division became the Republic of Hospitals and took the name for it's own purposes, as it seemed that the ion storm was not planning to dissipate or move onwards anywhere soon. Mobile aid and care was the future of medicinal practices, it seemed, and the members of the Republic of Hospitals are cashing in. RE: The Republic of Hospitals - /RepHos/ - Information & Feedback - TheJarl - 02-09-2014 Love it, some years back I had a small group called the Medics flying around in ships ranging from a Moldy Crow as an ambulance to a Liner as large flying Headquarters and hospital. Though my Medics relied on donations, which were generously given, and did not charge any fees so they were more of a charity-like organisation than this. Still I can guarantee you it can be extremely enjoyable to do this kind of RP, despite the apparent lack of normal activity like trading and combat people seemed to enjoy the Medics back in the day. So yeah, really nice to see this.
RE: The Republic of Hospitals - /RepHos/ - Information & Feedback - Stefz - 02-09-2014 You mentioned that the group started venturing into space in 822 A.S? Isn't it 821 currently? RE: The Republic of Hospitals - /RepHos/ - Information & Feedback - Slavik - 02-09-2014 Why call the group "republic"? This would aim at some sort of nation state instead of a non-profit organisation... RE: The Republic of Hospitals - /RepHos/ - Information & Feedback - Umber - 02-09-2014 Why civilian weaponry?

This would aim at some sort of nation state instead of a non-profit organisation... The name actually originated from a bragging thread (cookie if you find it), where the sender claimed to send a message to "The Republic of Hospitals", and I replied from there. Also, if you look at tertiary objectives, they're not all rainbows and cupcakes...
