Are there currently any plans to implant Discovery into SC when it comes out? - Blackstarr - 02-17-2014
Are there? I know Discovery will probably get aboard the modding game, if not then members from discovery going solo. But what I mean is taking the current FL Discovery storyline and implanting it into SC. So far we havent been shown much of the modding capability of SC so we dont even know if it is possible. Heck we dont even know how the galaxy is going to look. But if it is a system based galaxy I see 3 possible options for implanting Disco:
1. Somehow deleting or hiding the SC systems and creating Sirius instead.
2. incorporating the SC systems into discovery. The way I can see this happening is doing a timeline jump maybe 500 years and RP that several jumpholes have opened then divide the SC systems throughout the houses.
3. Make a new house with the SC systems (yeah i know right look how well that turned out last time >< )
Thoughts? I know it is a long way out but with the release date looming in late 2014/early 15 I think this is stuff we should be thinking about if part of the community wants to switch over (or Disco RP24/7 Making a server themselves which would be AWESOME)

Actually there is an effort to bring the discoverse to SC. It should be interesting to see how it works out.

however, the battle zones in SC will be instanced, meaning that space wouldnt be the final frontier

There are no official plans to port Discovery to the Star Citizen game engine.

That's not Discovery, that's just vanilla Freelancer, being done by the Shattered Worlds mod team.

For sure, SC opens some awesome options, just like walking around in the ships and that. i really looking forward to the game, even though i will prefer a good made mod for it. like discovery
