Ok, so i'm fully satisfied with my trading ship, so i transferred some money to a new account (using a Laptop) i created. Switch over with 100M to spend. I figured hell, i might as well buy the strongest weapons available. Which would be CODENAME weapons. Since there's no one to sell at that time, i figured i'd pick them up myself. I went to a grand total of 19 locations of which i know of which has CODENAME weapons just to shoot at the ships to see nothing happen. :angry:
Since i'm relatively new to discovery( About 1 month ), was just wondering if they were disabled to drop items.
I'd greatly appreciate it, if someone could clarify this for me, so that i dont spend my time pew pewing wreck ships that's been salvage beyond recognition.

Wrecks do drop codenames. However, once one player harvests a wreck, the wreck no longer has anything. However, each time the server restarts, all the wrecks get refilled.

They still drop items.. but only once per server restart/crash. So if someone was there first they are empty.
Server is restarted once a day regulary + crashes do happen usually once per 2-3 hours during the peak hours.

CODE Farmers annoy me greatly.... Log in, farm, log off. Server crash, log in, farm, log off. Repeat.
Lamest way to earn cash... Little effort required.

I really appreciate your clarification guys. Thanks alot. I'm planning hopefully to be the most notorously know Pirate in the history of Sirius. (After i get all my gear together off course)

But you realise how long it takes to travel from one wreck group to another and another and another? Then there's the lack of customers. It's so boring to sit somewhere for several hours with only 2 sales made.

Not to mention that weapon farming, and later selling those weapons, is about as OORP one can go without beeing kicked off the server.

hey, to each his own mate, to each his own.
i hate code-looting, but code hunting is at least a tiny bit better than trading. plus, i dont even go to loot any wrecks anymore anyway. got a nice network setup:D

Do't go around thinking you're unbeatable becasue you have codies either. With the way they are I'm in limbo with the usefulness.
