Zoner Lore v1.0 - E.T. - 03-23-2014

After writing a lot in my spare time, I managed to get this as a result. Still I could add a lot more, but I am not sure If it would fit the general Zoners. What people do not understand and what makes Zoners a (too) hard faction to roleplay. The same goes with some other factions. It is that Zoners do have Zoners they belong too. Examples are like your own preferences about political stuff. It could evolve from there into becoming a communist or a democrat. The TAZ leadership of the old days Mal he understood that and brought up the faction. While religion has a high power in the current days and even more in the past, it made it not a strange sight. While they will fight more for Eris the other Zoners have other interests. Like Phoenix about research in the omicrons and OSI for example with trading, but as a Zoner you could never have a Zoner corporation without any enemies. If you supply in their case for example the hessians and their enemies find out.. You find yourself on a tight spot. Because who would defend you without their own relations being jeopardized? They could only hire the BHG to defend them as support without being seen as allies from faction x or y to create a list of enemies. The remaining they have to solve themselves. This is why Zoners could ONLY defend their OWN.

I already said more then I should, but hell here it is:
Zoner Lore v1.0

For the official faction leaderships if you have something to rectify what I did write please sent me a pm with the related issue. Thanks!

To the ones I promised to make this, you are welcome.

To mods/Admins: I didnt exactly know where to drop this, please move if you deem necessary.

Very nice, and I must say its like reading a true story ( not that im a fan of books ). Does that mean we can drop the silly lore excuses from this point on? I hope so.

:::Its good to see a rewrite of the lore. Or a remake if that is the case. Either way we agree with Tel, hopefully it does indeed:::

RE: Zoner Lore v1.0 - Remnant - 03-23-2014

Some refinement should most likely be put through, however as a v1.0? This document is looking pretty good.

RE: Zoner Lore v1.0 - Haste - 03-23-2014

The part where caps are "explained" is just plain silly. "They made prototypes of Gunboats. Then they made Gunboats. They made prototypes of bigger ships. Then they made bigger ships."

How? Where'd they get the resources, the knowledge, or even the need to build capital ships? Did their neighbors simply not give a [excrement] about the Zoners' militarization? If they did mind, how'd they get away with it?

Any document like this that tries to explain caps should do it well. Or simply shouldn't do it at all. Zoner caps, after all, don't make a lot of sense.

This account of the Zoners history from the TAZ perspective is unauthorized. It should be disregarded in any context regarding the TAZ as the person writing it did not not consult with us us in any way, and therefore the post should be discounted regarding the TAZ and any relationships with other factions.

Funny joggin.. I asked doc and you both.. Didn't I? Even on The taz chat I recommend spending more time on your faction and reading the stuff more closely then to spent 15 hours on angels lulzing around. Still doc did a majour help as several others in taz.. Sadly to say your argument is invalid.

RE: Zoner Lore v1.0 - Doria - 03-24-2014

I apreciate the effort, but:

1) Everything is out of order, no timeline mentioned nor the 'narrative' is in the correct order.
2) Text is superficial. Some stuff are mentioned only 'by passing', no explanation to most of things. "They created a station in a cloud..." and "After a few years they started making prototypes of bigger ships" are just a couple examples.
3) Basic text elements are not present, like cohesion, coherence and intertextuality.

As I said, the effort is apreciated, but its faaaar from being v1.0

If Tel Aniv approves of it, there has to be something wrong with it.

In all honesty this is in very poor taste. I don't know Tel, or you for that matter but this kind of posts is what starts flame wars.

Sorry to be blunt.

Anyways back to topic. Its a nice attempt. There is room for improvement and i encourage you to expand it further. Can't wait for the next edition.
