Your favorite trade and smuggling run? - Sassafras - 04-04-2014 A common question I'm always hit with is "Hey Sass, what's a good trade run?". Cuz I'm lazy I always do the same ol' thing. So if you have some fun and profitable trade runs, please let me know and I'll pass them along to the new folks looking to make a few credits. All the best, Angel Sass RE: Your favorite trade and smuggling run? - SnakThree - 04-04-2014 New players should be provided not with the best routes profit/time-wise, but with those, where investment is the lowest and distance times are not that high. This prevents them from losing manycredits and much time when encounter goes wrong. RE: Your favorite trade and smuggling run? - sindroms - 04-04-2014 Yes, do tell. I want to know where to move my cloakLABC. RE: Your favorite trade and smuggling run? - Sath - 04-04-2014 Most profitable trade route would be that of ores. Here is a list of all the ores that can be mined and their sell points. Plan the route accordingly. (Some info will be outdated. But most of them are accurate. Big mistake= Al ore in Southampton instead of Waterloo). Normal routes are best when there are no miners around, and for some lazy cash making. Your best friend in this case would be FL Companion. Plan out trade routes and get to know their selling points, profits and many other things. Some of my suggestions would be:
There are many of them like that. Try to form a loop and proceed to do that. Try newer things everytime and you wont be bored. As for the smuggling part: Try these Quote:Get Black market munitions from Detroit or Rochester, take that to Ecommoy in Maine. There are many other smuggling routes, but this one is a very long and indeed, very adventurous one. Grab a FL Ptrain or a BWT and go for a ride all over Sirius

Liberty supports Ageira's monopoly over the Parts, while Kusari has placed embargo on Liberty and forbids Plutonium movement to it. Still some are prepared to do the opposite things here. But I am unaware of the lane parts. Never have seen anyone enforce that in game. RE: Your favorite trade and smuggling run? - SnakThree - 04-04-2014 Lane Hackers enforce that quite well... *cough* If you would play your Hacker, you'd know... RE: Your favorite trade and smuggling run? - St.Denis - 04-04-2014 It seems that a lot of the New Players want everything on a silver platter. I remember when I first started in 2011. I initially did the Helium runs within Pennsylvania until I could afford a Dromedary (this was under advisement from a friend). I then decided to venture out in to the wide Universe of Sirius. So I took some Helium out with me and visited all the Stations in New York to find out where I could sell the Helium for the best price. Once I had gone to some of the Bases I found that my Trade window told me where any commodity that I bought could be sold for the best price from the Bases I had visited. It was a time of Discovery! I slowly ventured out in different directions. I learnt after a time that I shouldn't be leaving Rheinland with goods and heading in to Liberty when I was stopped by Warships telling me to drop my cargo. I learnt not to carry Trade Lane Parts when I got stopped because I wasn't carrying the correct ID. I even got blown up in Kusari because I said that I was heading to Bretonia with my cargo. I didn't know any better at the time, but it was fun as well as, at times, frustrating. It all was a learning curve. I enjoyed the thrill of discovering the boundaries of the Game. FL Companion may be a very good tool, but it is a very ooRP tool. For example, how can a Liberty Trader complain that his Goods sell better in Gallia, where he isn't allowed to Trade, than everywhere else in Sirius. In my opinion finding out the best places to sell commodities and finding good Trade Routes is partly what this Game is about. I still don't use FL Companion to work out my routes but I go out there and find them. If everything, within this Game, is served on a Silver Platter then a big thrill of the Game, Discovering, is none-existent. If this Game is just about making lots of money, quickly, so that you can buy big ships and then go, with them, and shoot things, it becomes very stale very quickly. So I would suggest that giving the Newer Players too much information, 5 minutes after they join, is possibly counter-productive, as a way to keep them to stay, as they will likely become bored and leave.
