To the Community: This made my day - SMI-Great.Fox - 04-05-2014

Well as you know. I am back for a little bit and wanted to do some RP for the SRP I've been working on for 2 years. Yes. TWO Years.

So I hit the bottom of the barrel in ideas and have gotten multiple people and groups interested in making money. But what caught my eye from one of them was this:

Quote:Disco Member: i suppose you cant, but what you are asking here then is simply impossible!. how the hell can one create a RP 10 times as good as the one i gave!?
i just dont get it anymore...

SMI-Great Fox: One person alone cannot create it. And its close to impossible due to it being one of the most difficult RP's currently undergoing.

2 years so far of work and little to show to accomplish such.

This is not to discourage you, but to think of ways outside the box. To help players better themselves. I ask you to take time to think about this more. Look at beyond the money made and look what you could create from it. Think of it as a way to create fun for other players and not just for yourself.

If people are trying to create their own special ships for SRP, wouldn't they need the help and creativity of the community to accomplish it? Keep pushing yourself to improve yourself and you will find it more enjoyable than any amount of money people can give you.

Disco Member: Yea, ill do that, ill try to improve my RPing and then try again,
i actually was hoping to get the money, but somewhere in my mind i already knew that was not gonna happen, i just wanted to reach the 1 Billion credits for once in my life,
thanks anyways

I will say this has made my day and I could not be any prouder for that player. I think the community's players, new and old, can learn from this a little bit.

From whom is that quote? Did he even exist? Skype?

And why do people always speak about their SRP but never submit them?

What 2 years work? What is this you are even talking about?

I had a SRP once.

It was the golden apple of my time on Disco.

Annnnnnnnnnnnnd I let it go down the pooper. Gladly enough it spawned some good Rp for other players, so that's always a nice enough thing to think about.

Two more free advices:
1) You can't buy RP for money
2) Remember, that foxes are deceivers

1) No but it sure as hell motivates players
2) Guilty as charged :3

Pancakes - SRP of the Grande Guillotine to the goals made by Enzo Du Sable. The total SRP work for that single ship is almost 4 years. 2 Years at least for me and my contributions along with the Cruiser La Triomphante.

Here's a hint if you want a SRP to go through.

Don't make a SRP your goal. Stop mentioning it 200 times, no one really cares how long the character or you yourself as a member has been around. If you are just getting something "Because" then you are doing it wrong. Just RP something and if it happens to need an SRP to continue the story, then for all means the admins should approve it, given it's not crap.

You can buy mods' votes I heard.
And having lots of admin skype friends, annoying them with your SRP plans. helps a lot, too. No, I didn't meant anyone in particular... :S

Whatsoever, people tend to plan on getting a SRP before having started the RP even. It's better to pick something 'old' and adapt it.
