Trading and F1 question - Flash Mp - 08-20-2008 lets say I am a trader and I am being pursued by a pirate. I manage to dock with the mooring fixture while the pirate is hot on my trail. As soon as I land on the planet I F1 to log out without saying anything. Is this allowed? (This event didn't actually happen, its just an example) Trading and F1 question - Fletcher - 08-20-2008 I'd say its legal, since you didn't F1 out of actual combat in space. Once your on a station/planet, you're safe. Trading and F1 question - kacijon - 08-20-2008 Well I think It Is Legal. If he is Behind you. But not if he shotting you. Hmm. I remember When My LH Chr. ANd Teamate Purusit One Trader. We Were in PVP When He Docked AT station And logoff. So I am Messed Here. Trading and F1 question - VincentFerrex - 08-20-2008 Once you've docked, you're not in combat anymore, so yes, you're safe to log out. Though, it would be good RP to say a few words before logging out. Trading and F1 question - teschy - 08-20-2008 Well, if your in Gamma chased by a corsair and you land on Crete, it counts as illegal. Trading and F1 question - cmfalconer - 08-20-2008 Vincent's right. try using that thing full of letters in front of that screen once in a while. It's incidents like that that give traders a bad name in a pirate's eyes, and then flame-fests occur. While technically it's not WRONG, spout off a little sass. "Better luck next time pirate!" "Man, that was a close one!" "Bloody constables couldn't be bothered from their tea". "LPI - Liberty Police Incompetence. Too many donuts?" or something of that sort. (sorry Zapp) Trading and F1 question - Vero - 08-20-2008 ' Wrote:"Man, that was a close one!"Ive used that one myself a time or two. I also like. Man, space is dangerous. I need some escorts next time. If you are running from someone and you dock at a station not aligned with those you were running from, then you are considered safe and can log off (have a drink at the station bar, spend a few hours offloading cargo, do some ship maintenance, etc). If you are doing so as anything besides a trader it would be best to log off or switch to a different character at least until the chaser has left the system; in observance of the retreating rule (though the spirit of that rule is more about shield runners and re-engagement, than running from an attack). |
