I know server is having problems these days but do you guys too are having this problem ??
Whenever I login I have around 40 to 50 % lag minimum not once but every time I login and lag drastically reduce to 10% as soon as I land on a base and also my general ping is 100 to 250 but im getting around 800 these days
Anyone else having these problems ??

Guys here have decent ping and almost no lags but why im having this problem I checked my connections again and again but its just fine and working normally no idea whats wrong

I don't know how more than half server having lag over 10% is decent.

Wow this is strange almost everyone having 30 % lag some even touching 90% now im sure this is problem from server side not my side phew...

Yes, well....
DDOS attacks can be halted by good server protections.
By good I mean ones that cost money.
I was an admin on a US based game server that sat snugly behind triplicate firewalls and would not allow unauthenticated access, even just a host query.
And with 500+ users and numerous DDOS attacks never once so much as coughed or stuttered.
But the server blade and the firewall cost approx $110 USD/month.
Long winded way of saying "donate or deal with it."

One interesting thing is that it's not a purely bandwidth-based DoS we've been under, but rather an exploit in the underlying DirectPlay connection handler -- something that isn't even Freelancer's fault -- that's being, well, exploited. It's not a high-bandwidth attack, but because it denies users service, it is still by definition a denial of service attack.
