90's Kid Here, Need Movie Suggestions - SMGSterlin - 05-14-2014
So I watched Pulp Fiction for the first time last night, and I realized, there's alot of older movies that me, as someone who was born in the 90's, has never watched.
Really iconic movies, that are a basis for much of what we say today. I need to watch those.
Tell me some that I need to watch, preferably ones on Netflix.

- Cool Hand Luke (what we've got here, is a failure to communicate)
- 2001: A Space Odyssey (tataaataaaataaaaaammuutaaaaaamtaauuuaaaaaaaam)
- Alien I, II & III (bliep, bliep, bliep *death gurgling* *silence*)
- The Shining (Here'ssssssss Johnny!)
- Rain Man (when Tom Cruise was still cool)
- One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest (one of the best roles by Nicholson ever, my opinion)
- Taxi Driver (you talkin' to me? I see no-one else, so you must be talkin' to me!)
Intermezzo: basically anything from Stanley Kubrick and Martin Scorcese are safe bets for guaranteed viewing pleasure.
- Monthy Python's? (because humour is good)
- The Deer Hunter (that Russian roulette scene, epic)
- Leon (because she became -very- hot older)

I've just seen one of them with my roommates and friends.
"Funny Games", 1997, Austrian movie.
Not sure if I can suggest it. It's totally weird.
One I can strongly recommend is "Flatliners". Old but gold. 1990. Julia Roberts, Kiefer Sutherland, Kevin Bacon. Love that movie since my childhood (even if it was/is not quite suitable for kids).

Goonies! Classic film is classic.
There is so many of them though.
You missed the 80s entirely. The movies are dated now, but a lot of great movies came out in that decade. Ghostbusters, Trading Places, National Lampoons Vacation, and National Lampoons European Vacation are just a few.

Yes! Frigging awesome movie. Lots of life stories meet on a brooklyn corner store. The best performance by Harvey Keytell ever. Also William Hurt and Forest Whitaker, both rocking as always.
