Smooth movements and barrel roll - SnakeLancerHaven - 05-15-2014
I've seen it in other mods also Vanilla Freelancer, but Discovery seems to have this problem when you press strafe up and strafe right at the same time it just moves into one direction. I wonder why? When you press strafe up and strafe right it should actually go diagonally right up.
Also whats up with rotating? Rolling only possible in turret view and in Cockpit view but WHY not in 3rd person view? Like seriously the feeling is just different when you do a barrel roll in 3rd person, hell this gives you a realy awesome feeling. The smoof moving when you actually can move in the directions when you press strafe up and strafe right or pitch up and turn left. Is it possible to fix this somehow?

Agreed, really bothers me sometimes, I learnt some tactics about rolling in PvP on vanilla, but since no 3rd person view, pretty hard to do in Disco.

I am highly skeptical of the validity of rolling in vanilla pvp, seeing as you have to be in cockpit view and going in a straight line without free flight.
Out of curiosity, can you explain?

Tides of War has better barrel rolls, since you can do them with the normal camera and without using the turret mode or anything.
You should ask Sushi a permission to implement ToW's version of barrel roll.
