Help me find my clock generator - AkuNiWaAkuO - 07-01-2014

does anyone know the clock generator for the 0P301D motherboard? Or if this motherboard can even handle overclocking? I've googled it and haven't come up with much.

With all due respect, I did not ask if you did NOT know, asked if you did... if you have any advice on either where to research this matter, or if you know the answer, then feel free to post it! If not, then please keep useless posts to a minimum. Thanks.

Cool, thanks. I'll go there and see what I can find.

If you need to ask on a forum, I highly suggest against trying to OC something on your machine.

Well, the motherboard's clock generator is the only thing I can't seem to find. I know full well the risks involved in overclocking. Although, in light of looking into it some more, dell is cheap, so they've made it so their machines can't be overclocked basically. So I probably won't be able too anyways. Hmm then again I did successfully overclock a dell Latitude D800...
Still, if anyone knows a way around dell's bullsh!t, feel free to tell me.

I know a *little* bit about overclocking and from what I understand, you don't physically hack the chip in question, overclocking is normally done via the BIOS, unless the computer in question is *really* old, then you can overclock by moving 'jumpers' around, but I'm pretty sure that isn't the case here.

Did a little googling and found this ---> http://www.overclock.net/t/441590/overclocking-help

Which led to this --> http://www.techpowerup.com/systool/

The other thing is that it was mentioned that manufactured PC's like Dell, tend to be 'locked down' as far as far as overclocking CPU's goes.

This may or may not be the case, I don't know for sure as I have never owned a manufactured PC, apart from my laptop. :p

Hope this helps a little.
