New Video Card - Ironwatsas - 07-16-2014 My old Video card seems to be hitting the skids, it seems. Normally I wouldn't bother mentioning such because my opinion of most of Discovery lies somewhere between "Hobos" and "Jay-Z" (in descending order), but I suppose why the hell not in this case. Now, I'm currently upgrading from a GTX 460, which came original to the computer and is now attempting to die. I've been looking at the GTX 750 Ti which seems to be in my price range specifications, but I'd like some opinions to consider before actually spending money for it. My PC box has a combined power output of 475 watts and about 8.5x5 inches of physical space. Budget is in the neighborhood of ~$200 USD (laundering Euros would be too much of a pain because the Swiss Banks don't want to co-operate anymore). I'm not looking for anything extravagant obviously. RE: New Video Card - Sabru - 07-16-2014 From what ive read, seen and heard the 750 Ti is definitely one of, if not the best low cost high efficiency graphics cards available. RE: New Video Card - Doc Holliday - 07-17-2014 I stick with ATI graphics cards. I wear mine out usually but I get good results with them. RE: New Video Card - Foochow - 07-17-2014 Damn, I could use a new one too... current one is ATI Radeon HD 4550 from 2009.... *cry* RE: New Video Card - squidofsymphony - 07-17-2014 I don't always play Discovery, but when I do, it's because my 8600 GT can't play anything else. RE: New Video Card - Luke. - 07-17-2014 I've been using an ATI HD5770 for years and it's still better than some newer cards. Running it on a 470W PSU and all. RE: New Video Card - sindroms - 07-17-2014 I am running a 5770 as well. Pretty npnp card. RE: New Video Card - Mickk - 07-18-2014 (07-17-2014, 05:39 PM)sindroms Wrote: I am running a 5770 as well. Pretty npnp card. Odd that. I too run a 5770 as well and it is a npnp card, it's certainly very good for it's age. I've yet to have a problem graphics wise running any game I've bought/installed recently. RE: New Video Card - sindroms - 07-18-2014 Artifacts? Yeah, I have issues with Crysis, for example.
