Alien gate in Kansas - spacewalker - 08-18-2014
Hello,
Why can't I dock with the alien gate in Kansas to get to Unknown system? (dock denied). It wasn't like that when I played in previous versions of Discovery. How do I get to Unknown system?

Shit happens. That's right, I am using a Liberty Cruiser.
But isn't it strange, such limitation? Why?

Because that system has no NPCs, and its only purpose is to get new Nomad players on track of Nomad RP by providing them the Nomad Morph ID.
If you want to pew Nomads, or you want to pew as a Nomad, go to the Omicrons.

Not fully true, the Unknown system also has tons of RP inside of it, I've been in there on an Outcasts Freighter and while RPing with a nomad follower

I second what Shizune wrote. Back then, hell, four years ago, where still 4.85 or even 4.84 was, I got suprised when there were Outcasts and Nomads RP-ing in Alpha. I was very terrible player and just passed by back then - I mean, played a bit, then got scared becase RP was back then something very "elite" for me. Hell, the feels.

Y'can't enter the Unknown system with anything bigger than a Freighter
Supposedly the Jumpgate is so damaged, it couldn't handle the stress. (guessing by the way)
Regardless, the Unknown system is bloody GORGEOUS, and likely one of my favourite systems ever.
