Mini RP-event: Kusari-Bretonia Trade Summit - Highland Laddie - 08-19-2014

Background: In recent months, much effort has gone into "normalizing" trade relations between former enemies Kusari and Bretonia. At the urgings of respective companies Kishiro Technologies & Gateway Shipping, both governments have been engaged to form a new Trade Agreement to re-open their Houses to limited but more normalized trade.(relevent RP link)

Those talks having born fruit, both parties have agreed to a Treaty ratification summit on the Planet Curacao in the Cortez system.

Representatives for both Houses will be present at the Treaty signing, and rumor has it that there will be a state-funded gala on the planet with many VIPs, requiring large amounts of luxury items, food, alcohol (and perhaps even a few contraband items for those reps who prefer to party hard).

Where: Cortez system
When: Sunday, August 24 11:00 p.m. (23:00) GMT.
Who can attend: Representatives for Kusari & Bretonian lawful factions - Kishiro, Samura, KNF/KSP, BMM, Bowex, Gateway, Planetform, BAF/BPA. Unlawfuls can be any PIRATES who wish to rob the convoys (or groups who can pirate in Cortez), or Nomads (and those who hunt them), or hired freelancers. (No GRN, please)

Convoys should begin heading to the summit shortly after 11:00 p.m. (expect them to be heavy-laden with various luxury goods) They should be expected to provide their own escorts (or hire them).

While the final outcome of the event cannot be changed, successful convoys will help ensure that the Trade Signing boosts the morale of both Kusari and Bretonia nations. Unsuccessful convoys will throw a shadow of doubt, suspicion, and gloom over the whole affair...adding a bit of diplomatic tension between both nations.

The Watchers might be interested in showing, but the start time is a little late for most of us, is there any way to push it more toward server high time?

Right now I've tried to balance the event time to where it's still available to European players and US players (which seem to be the majority of who will participate). Any sooner/later risks losing one group entirely (or at least, those players from the factions involved in this RP). Would 1 hour earlier make/break your ability to participate?

Also, edited first post to include Cargo suggestions. And yes...lawful/quasi-lawful groups who would benefit from the Summit may seek to participate, although Hogosha may be seen as pushing it, as they are still considered hostile to some Bretonian corps, and really have no direct stake in this Treaty.

We here at Planetform Incorporated have just now learned of this and are most displeased at not having been previously contacted would be delighted to attend such an ideal money making endevour.

I, Sir Archibald Chamberlain III shall attend on the IMG's Planetform's soon to be customized employee liner, PFI)-Atlantic Pacific.

We think this is an excellent oppurtunity to make some money show some of the wonders of modern terraforming technology. We believe the Kusari consumer is a backward, superstitious, mindless sheep a discerning connoisseur of the technological arts, and that our terraforming technologies would be a wondrous addition to every Kusari home!
