No Man's Sky - Fluffyball - 08-21-2014

No Man's Sky is a procedurally generated open universe game. Players take the role of a planetary explorer with a spacecraft, allowing them to explore the surface of numerous planets and interact with the flora and fauna, and take to space, engaging in combat with hostile forces and travel to other planets. Planets and other features of this universe are procedurally generated; though initially build based on a 32-bit number processor, the final game will use a 64-bit seeding key, with the developers stating that this allows for more than 18 quintillion possible planets. The game will have online features that allow players to share details of their planets with online players.

This thing looks like someone took the Space Era from Spore, made it serious and f**king doubled, no, quardupled it... infinited it(?) into the... wow the size. Also, mixing it up with Elite. I wonder if they succeed.

Looks like I will be saving for PS4 right now... D:

Ahhhh, I hate people who says "duuuuuh, PC is better". Seriously, dudes? Why so much bitching?

RE: No Man's Sky - Corile - 08-21-2014

I'm not saying PC is better (although let's face it, it is). I'm saying people releasing games exclusively on a particular platform are hurtful to the game industry altogether. This explains my pov pretty well.

RE: No Man's Sky - Tenacity - 08-21-2014

Developers ignoring PC as a gaming platform is what's killing the pc gaming industry right now. Pc gamers aren't happy about it.

The pc has always and will always be the superior platform for gaming. Publishers only hurt themselves by avoiding it.

RE: No Man's Sky - Fluffyball - 08-21-2014

Sigh. There WILL be PC version dudes of that. I'm just not into the talk Buuuum, PC master race... And what? I don't even care. It's just... annoying, you see. I hate flame wars and that's all. Sure, it's provoked kinda by the fact I just simply CAN'T afford good PC (not in Poland). Or if even I did, I wouldn't spend money to upgrade PC every year. This is why I like consoles, because they don't need to be upgraded, if we speak about hardware. Gameplay is as smooth as possible and I prefer playing on gamepad than on the keyboard and mouse... And that's all.

Making this topic was a BIG mistake of mine, because I just wanted to share info about that, but someone just... Nevermind. It's just that we shouldn't make games as close to reality as we could. Look at Far Cry 3, for example. I already like the graphic! Why should I need more? It's just a game. And all that matter to me is playability.

And now excuse me, I'll go back to playing Heroes of Might and Magic III on my crappy PC. Hush!
