Looking for someone to do (probably) simple modeling work - Haste - 09-02-2014 Right. I've recently been going through a metric ton of hitboxes, adjusting them to fit some sort of standardized size depending on ship class. Doing so, I ran into a fair few ships that have models that, quite simply, don't really fit their class. A straight-forward example would be the Executioner. A relatively fast and flimsy ship that uses the exact same model as the Avenger. Aaand.. The Avenger happens to be on the heavier side of the VHF spectrum. This discrepancy between the ship's purpose and model makes it, for all intents and purposes, a useless ship. So what I'm looking for is someone who's capable and willing to work with me to make some model adjustments. I'm not looking for models made from scratch. I'm not looking for, to put it bluntly, creativity. I'm looking for someone who's familiar with modeling for Freelancer who's willing to, effectively, just make a "variation" on a vanilla ship. I can explain exactly how the Executioner's model could be adjusted to make it a better ship, while still staying close enough to the original models that it fits perfectly into the Liberty line. Note that there are (probably) more ships out there that could do with a little nip&tuck, but the Executioner is the first problem case I'd like to see 'solved'. I'm assuming that, unfortunately, this sort of restrictive modeling isn't nearly as fun to as creating a brand-new ship from scratch. I - and probably people who'd like to fly the Executioner or similar ships - would definitely be thankful if anyone's up for doing this, though. Thanks. I've been in touch with DartStriker, but more help is always welcome. Particularly because DartStriker seems a little short on time, based on our Skype convos (or lack thereof). Thanks (: |
