Making Good Money From Start in 4.87 - red devil - 11-30-2014 Tip. When starting off you want as much money as possible as soon as possible. I have figured out this route to make good money and, when you can afford an Armd Tpt, rake it in. Then maybe a Mammoth? Start at Manhattan, take Liberty Ale to New London via California then Magellan or Cortez and Manchester then sell, take Gin from New London to Planet Crete (Omicron Gamma) via Cambridge & Omega 5 jump hole and Omega 41 jump hole into Omicron Gamma. Then take artifacts back to Manhattan. Continue as you wish until money piles up!!! edit: My route and cargo, making £3,000,000 plus in one trip. Discovery 4.87 Suggestion How to make 3m+ credits in an hour or so in new game (Aimed at the newbie – offline game) New Game: Status Neutral Arrive Manhattan. Ship: Stargazer. Cargo 40. Armament 4 x Adv Flashpoint Mk 7 Credits $9000 GETTING EQUIPPED. Take off: To West Point then to Pennsylvania lane. Go right to the bottom of C6 grid. Collect from Flint the cardamine and 4 turrets, 2 guns, go to top grid d6 and collect weapons from Aggressor then return to Manhattan, sell everything except 2 equipped flashpoints. Sell scanner, buy deep scanner. Credits $128,170. Take off: to California system via West Point and Jump Gate. Go to planet Los Angeles passing Mojave. Ship Seller and buy Sunburst Freighter (540 hold) at $31,980. Transfer deep scanner and ID back into new ship before buying. Go to eqpt shop sell and re-equip deep scanner and Freelancer ID. Buy 520 food rations: Credits: $53,031. Go to square corner C/D 5/6 and get cardamine and 3 weapons off the Balboa. You also get nanobots and shield batteries up to your ship limit. Back to Manhattan. No need to purchase weapons yet, you are still neutral (hopefully). During this time I have gone from level 13 to level 26. Sell weapons, food and cardamine in Manhattan. Credits now $406.480. BUY full load of Liberty Ale at $199 each. Credit now: $299,020. Take off and head for New London via California, straight on to Cortez system and through to Manchester system straight on through lanes into New London. Planet is straight on. First MILLION - at NL sell Liberty Ale and buy Gin at $199. Credits $1,119,280. Now level 33. Take off turn right for Cambridge System. If you look at your nav map you will see you have already started a circular route back to Manhattan. In Cambridge, either lane to the Omega 3 jump gate, left is probably marginally quicker. At planet Cambridge take left to Battleship Norfolk. Through 3 into 7 then on to Omega 5 into Stuttgart system. Through Stuttgart into the New Berlin system to planet NB, your destination on this leg. Second MILLION . Sell Gin and buy Rheinbeer at $199. Credit now £2,207,380. Now level 38 top of the shop!! Leave Berlin and take Dortmund lane and then Hamburg. Short route back to Manhattan. Straight on through Hamburg to the Bering Jump Gate but its not working. Turn left and go to square E2 and take jump hole into Bering. Turn right and head for lanes. Not far. Take lanes to Texas system and straight though to Manhattan. Third MILLION. Sell beer and you have a cool $3,367,300. Not bad eh? Double it by going round again. Not one shot fired at me all that way, but now? Your on your own baby!! There are other routes and systems where you can make big money such as Manhattan to Omicron Gamma (Corsairs) or Omicron Alpha (Outcasts) where you can fill a ship full of either Cardamine (drug) or artifacts but the profit is at each end (If you take eg: light arms at $249, from Detroit, (out of manhattan turn right) outwards) whereas in my suggested route you are making a million plus at each stop. RE: Making Good Money From Start in 4.87 - t0l - 11-30-2014 I'd consider the helium route until you can afford something like a restart Junker CSF with sufficient armor (AU7) and the whole premium scrap debacle (working up to salvager) more efficient, but I haven't tried it yet. When you have it, you can transport helium on a large distance, like Honshu, or even Okinawa. Next step is up to you. Doubt, that heading from Liberty to Gamma, on ship with less than 3000 cargo is reasonable. I'd stick with trade lanes, before you got Train or somethin like that. |
