What Faction - Cerberus - 09-26-2008
Hello, I am now thinking of starting my own player faction but yet to decide what sort of faction to make.
I have spent the last week or so raising funds i think will be needed to open a new player faction, and although i would like a flagship i am more interested in establishing solid Presence and member base before i get one.
Right now i am open to any faction idea, be it Lawful, Unlawful or independant.
Requirements:
The NPC faction my faction will be based on must have:
1. Its own Very Heavy fighter
2. Its own bomber, or bomber it is commonly recognised with
3. Its own line of capital ships, or capital ships of its allies.
4. at least 1 or 2 bases
5. Easy RP
I was thinking of making some sort of military Faction or fleet within Kusari but i am unaware that the KNF will aprove of it or not.
Please give any ideas/advice :)

Most of the unused factions are trader factions and none of them fit the requirements

You could try the Hogosha... This is not exactly what I would call an easy RP, but it might be interesting to have a yakuza-like organization having criminal activities into Kusari with the blessing of the authorities... You could also play the Hogosha as the underhand of Samura.

Problem with the hogosha is they don't have any cap ships. If you must have caps ships I think you may be out of luck as most of the factions that can have them already have factions.
Maybe the IMG? There was a faction but I am not sure it is around anymore.

As someone who leads a faction, take it from me, there is a lot more work than first appears. N RP is easy, everything has comlexity, and the longer you do it, the more people will demand of you diplomatically.
You will be the figurehead of an organisation, and thus catch all the flak from anything that any member does wrong.
My advise would be to spend a little more time on the server. I have been here nearly a year, and I still wasn't ready for it when the XA was handed over to me. Starting a faction would be even harder.
