Yes, another poll - Thunderer - 01-19-2015 I should have remembered Poole yesterday. It's relatively close to both the Sairs and the Gauls, being reachable from Cambridge and Dublin. The Bretonians will need a couple of minutes to reach it. Poole is an almost empty system. A lot like Dundee, but without the cap patrols. It has asteroids only on the south, while most of it is open space. It also possesses some kind of a dark shine which would make battles look really good. Another alternative is that we have separate Sair and GRN vs. BAF events, for example one in Poole (BAF vs. Sairs) on Saturday and the other one in Edinburgh (BAF vs. GRN) on Sunday. That will remove all the diplomacy issues the Sairs represent when they come and unite with the Gauls. It might also, which is at the first glance absurd, make the numbers more equal. It is possible that people are logging Bretonian ships more than the ones of the opposite side because they think they'd be ganked by 2 factions. Also, I will remove the "respawn with a different ship" rule. Poole contains the main terraforming gases collection facility of Planetform, Methyr-Tydfill Mining Station, which means that Gaians will happily assist Sairs in their raid into Poole. And here goes the little issue: which side Gaians are supposed to take? RE: Yes, another poll - Thunderer - 01-19-2015 If you're with the Sairs, be against the Bretonians. If the event is in Edinburgh, so no Sairs, choose the less numerous side, except if you have a NAP with the Gauls. So, against the Bretonians. I don't see any issue here. Please tell me if I made something confusing so I can correct it as soon as possible. RE: Yes, another poll - TheSauron - 01-19-2015 You worte about GRN vs Sair event in Poole. Poole contains one of the key installations of our archenemy, Planetform. That means that Gaian ships will join Sair raid into Poole. And there will be a confrontation between two entities with which Gaians are either allied or have a NAP, and in this situation Sairs will probably demand Gaian assistance, and GRN will tell us to leave, which means that wathever we'll do, it'll be a bad choice. Gaians ignoring the raid equall to BAF ignoring temporary exposure of GRN's flagship, and Gaians participating in the raid will find themselves in a situation without a solution. This is so they could fight together against the Bretonians. I haven't stated that it's close to the Bretonians because it's, well, in Bretonia. So, I doubt there will be any problems for the Gaians, except this vagueness which I will make more precise now. RE: Yes, another poll - TheSauron - 01-19-2015 Oh, well, that way everything is fine I guess. RE: Yes, another poll - Thunderer - 01-21-2015 I'd appreciate a few more votes, 12 seems too few. There used to be about 20 of us participating. |
