Is Rhineland and Liberty ever going to rumble? What is the current state of affiars as the involved factions, see it?

I think liberty factions just wanted to be able to blow up more traders and made this embargo up as an excuse.

It's more of a cold war. I believe the idea is to prevent it from erupting into full-out hostilities such as the Bretonia-Kusari war. Think guerilla attacks and underhanded funding of terrorist groups and such on each side. Maybe small raids. No capital ships and attack wings involved, really. I may be horribly wrong though.

Nah it was about somthing that rheinland did ages ago so the embargos irrelevant, theres no real conflict really, just accusations.
Even though it would be pretty awesome to see a war:D

huh, i dont remember rheinland ever doing anything to start this. I do remember a post about several liberty cruisers and fighters taking a cruiser through new berlin and telling the RM that "their security sucks".

It all began when RM went with a full squadron to Minnesota, quebec and New Hampshire... denying our sovereignty on those systems.
And the embargo is far from a PvP whorrage thing as you keep thinking buddy. I Made this embargo for RP purposes, I but keep lacking time to do more about it.
As for the embargo, if you get caught you have three choices:
o Turn back and return wherever you wnat to
o Drop the cargo and continue your trip
o get blown up
Quite frankly, I've rarely seen traders choosing the last option... Good thing IMO, it is in RP. and the embargo isn't that much enforced...sadly

Good thing is that if I ever do get turned around, I can simply get out of sensor range and take one of the many jumpholes that the lawfuls shouldnt know about =P

JH were made for smuggling, and in the year I've been there, we never camped them... except when we were chassing someone, but that too... didn't happen lately
