Who controls Ames Research Station, beyond the generic "Zoners"?

RE: Ownership: Ames Research Station? - WesternPeregrine - 02-05-2015

Although its mostly regulated by the Treaty of Bethelem, it seems most recent administrators of Ames are either with Phoenix, or independent (Drrobe).

Peregrine, thanks for the info.

Now, to wrap my head around the idea that a group centered in the Omicrons is in charge of a base on the opposite side of the sector.

Apparently if you once saw our faction information it shouldn't be a question - a group with nomadic style of life dont limit themselves to Omicrons.

No offense, Red, but aren't you stating the exact opposite in numerous other places? That you guys (Phoenix) "own" Omicron 74? That you are based in Omicron Zeta? True, you guys shouldn't limit your actions to the omicrons if you are nomadic, but following the same logic, you shouldn't own any systems either.

Tricky ain't it? Zoner Zones, they Zone. In my opinion, let some baseless Zoner unofficial group have that one. I think O74 plus FP11 is already a big enough claim.

That was possibly the direction I was looking.

To RedEclipse, from your own lore:

Quote:The core fleet acts as our mobile head quarters and home, with our members living on board the vessels along with their families. Following the exodus of our friends and cousins to the far reaches of deep space, we currently have possession of only a few large capital class vessels. Each full member is trusted with the command of one capital vessel, should they wish it. The fleet keeps away from house space and overly populated regions, usually remaining in the Sigma, Omicron and Omega systems.

Don't bother, twaddle... Their lore changes in Red's mind anytime it's convenient. The guy has no idea what Role Playing is, doesn't know that what he knows is not necessarily known by his characters... All actions have ooRP reasons, so don't bother arguing...

By the way, don't thank people for wrong information. THAT treaty of bethlehem was canceled a loooong time ago. We just negotiated a new treaty, se it here: http://discoverygc.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=124684
Ames is out of it, and for now it's still in theory a Phoenix base. But, if I were you, I would wait, they will soon cease to be zoners, and therefore will lose almost all bases they have now.

As far as I know IRG runs Ames and it has nothing to do with Phoenix ever since Finn left them. It is possible that I'm wrong, however.

Nah... phoenix hang to it like if it were the admiral ballz
