Any plans for any OC cargo ships? - kikatsu - 02-13-2015

The Corsairs already have their own freighter, transport, train, and the raba, but the Outcasts, a group very founded in smuggling, have no native transports. They do have access to the Dromedary and the BWT, but they just got their own fighter ship line, so something more fitting to that could work.

They might not really need something along the lines of a battle transport, but at least some kind of slick looking smuggling ship of some sort.

I dunno, are there any plans for this? If not, are some people at least interested in examining the idea?

Yeah, I think a Outcast Transport or two would be pretty cool.

Well I mean, the Corsairs have two of their own transports they can use, in addition to the Generic pirate line, AND the borderworlds line

Meanwhile the Outcasts just get the Generic and Borderworlds...

so... needing 2 OC transports to even it out

don't get me started on the balance between OC and Corsair ships--

The Corsairs also DO have the Junkers to take care of a lot of their smuggling.
I suppose you could also say the 'Sairs have the Hogosha...but that's also only in 1 House.
I suppose giving them 1 transport akin to the Raba wouldn't be terrible. I don't really see why it needs to be perfectly even.

Outcasts themselves do very little smuggling and mostly rely on third party contractors. Zoners, Junkers, Freelancers and so on. The only way Outcasts could turn to smuggling is if the ID allowed 5kers again.

Folks shouldn't be smuggling in 5kers, period.

Not saying OCs shouldn't get their own transports (they should), just wanted to fix a few things though:

-Corsairs can't use the Borderworlds line. So it's basically OCs able to use the BW line while Corsairs can use their own line.

Also want to highlight this: "don't get me started on the balance between OC and Corsair ships" - wat. Except for Storta which is useless (though the Praefect isn't all shiny gold itself) what issue the OC line has in comparison to the Corsair one?

EDIT: Even though I am still bemusing on the idea of kiting with Storta while doing barrel rolls
