LR and Molly line concepts. Modelers inquire within. Community feedback needed. - sindroms - 02-26-2015 Hello, everyone. As you might now, the Mols and Rogs both use the same line, called the Z line or the Pirate line. The line includes the following ships: Hyena Greyhound Werewolf Barghest Bactrian Ptrans Ptrain Hellhound Scylla The ships marked in green are free to use by most unlawful and quasi lawful IDs. Up until now, the overall complain about this particular line is that it is used between two different factions and encounter two differently geared surroundings. That trying to balance them both against both Liberty and Bretonia is near impossible. Time and again it has been suggested that the line needs to be given to the general public and Mols and Rogs need their own. And usually the whole discussion ended, because nobody either had time for it or the faction heads were QQing about it or something else, such as people pointing out that the Barghest as the only heavy pirate bomber was unique to these factions. Well, the Barghest is not unique anymore. We all have access to the Waran now and finally the [M], LR- and PLR have all nodded a bit about this needing to finally be done. I also contacted the balance team and I was told that it can be done. Now we just need the models. And hardpointing. But most importantly, we need the concept. I mean, I personally cannot think up a more Rogue line than the Z line. It has to be even more Rogue than that. We need ideas. We need concept models. This is a PAID project. Exactly. I have put aside 50 Euro for whoever provides us with these ships in the end. Some other community members have also expressed their willingness to chip in. I would like to ask if the admin team would care to be the middle man and let us donate to the server Pitchin account while noting that it would be for the modeler? Anyway, community will need to give their feedback on the models themselves and vote in the best choice. RE: LR and Molly line concepts. Modelers inquire within. So maybe, HF and VHF are the only ones from Z line in need of being separate for Mollys and Rogues? RE: LR and Molly line concepts. Modelers inquire within. Not wanting the shipline end up like the Red Hessian one, being super spec-ops elite cool sleek massdriver-ish. Please give it some rusty junker, steampunk messiness. Maybe even a bit asymmetry? RE: LR and Molly line concepts. Modelers inquire within. Community feedback needed. - Sandloon - 02-27-2015 http://discoverygc.com/wiki/Liberty_Rogues "The Rogues are notoriously the least organized and developed crime society all over Sirius - the reality is, that the Rogues have more hidden outposts and have more advanced ships than anyone would expect. The group officially fights for the freedom of Liberty, but LSF officials disseminate that most of them fight and rob trade convoys because this is the only way for them to survive - however, no one, except the Liberty Rogues themselves know their true goal. " http://discoverygc.com/wiki/Red_Hessians "Red Hessians are the third largest unlawful group in Sirius, outnumbered only by the two warring Hispanian factions in the Omicron systems (Outcasts and Corsairs). They operate mostly in Rheinland and the Omega border and edge worlds, although raids sometimes take them as far as the Cambridge system in Bretonia. The group is known to attack corporate shipping all across Rheinland, looting and dealing in stolen goods as well as smuggling diamonds of all kinds to fund their extensive operations. Their large umbrella of influence almost completely encompasses the Dresden and Omega-11 systems, with roaming packs of raiders a frequent sight to any passers by. Dresden is expected to fall under complete Hessian control as soon as the corporate mining stations there finally run out of concentrated mining areas. The most likely reason for their notoriety in the criminal underworld however would be their endless conflict with the Corsairs, notably manifested in the visibly split system of Omega-5. Divided into two sides, the no man's land in the middle is frequently host to savage battles between both factions." Basically the rogues are a bunch of pirates that thought it was a good idea to stick together, whereas the Hessians are revolutionists that are fighting wars on all fronts and coming out on top. The Jorg was born out of necessity... RE: LR and Molly line concepts. Modelers inquire within. Submit a model, talk to devs/admins and Rogue battleship can exist aswell. RE: LR and Molly line concepts. Modelers inquire within. Community feedback needed. - SnakeLancerHaven - 02-28-2015 I thought that the RoS shipline looks actually pretty Pirate-alike, with those small "spike" like things around the BW Snubline and the old gray design of rusty old ships. There was once a Rogue/Molly Frigate plan on going, dunno what happened to that as I think something like that would actually make sense for both faction, economical whise (talking about smuggling and piracy). While the usual Transport is free to use, the Battle / Frigate / Transport, I dunno whatever lets call it Frigate could be made for Rogues n Mollies. Aside that, the snubline would be kept by Rogues and Mollies, but the Transport issue would be solved, no? Other than that, you could make Barghest a Sirius Unlawful ship and request a Light Bomber for Mollies/Rogues (or just another Heavy Bomber). As how I look at this, the Hessians have such a situation too right? The "Hel" Pirate Cruiser as example has been given to Rheinland Pirates, while the Hessians build the Vidar. But yea other than that I m with Narc in this, as the current Hessian line looks way too close to Coalition shipline lol, Red and Black, all they need are red engines on each ship and you could say the ship is Coalition made of course it´s just the inside joke.Instead of giving this line to pirates (even though, it indeed would fit) give them some "copied" old lookin "stolen" ship. Pirates steal, smuggle, take loot and all and I´m sure they´d re-use certain ships that are used often, like the BW shipline in the independant systems (referring to RoS Snubline). RE: LR and Molly line concepts. Modelers inquire within. Community feedback needed. - Mímir - 02-28-2015 I think you should keep the ships as they are, they add some flavor to the rogues. Greyhound isn't bad for piracy either, it has a small front profile and is good at WASD'ing - perfect for chasing traders and shooting them up. RE: LR and Molly line concepts.
