Have a fuel ship accompany you.
If you want any sort of accuracy in your jumps you need to use the mk3 scanner anyway. Scans take longer and you need someone with you to supply fuel but it puts you within 15k of the survey instead of 30k like the mk 2.
Also the Hyperspace scanner mk3 requires less cargo space to mount

I think if there is a ship created for this purpose (hyperspace scanning), it should be able to solo scan with an mk2.
In my opinion, as the Corvo can't solo scan even with an mk2, it is still more senseful option to make a capship that is allowed to fly the region to be scanned and make the solo scan with that if the specific coordinate is needed regularly. This makes the Corvo less useful as a scanner ship.
So, I think it would make sense to change the cargo space so it can have normal gear + hyperspace scanner + fuel for an mk2 scan.

xpecially as the combo of Corvo and Carrier are nor civilian : No Cap ships for Civilians, remeber ?

Corvo IS useful, but only in terms of mounting 5 razors on it.

When could it change? There was no any patch as far as I know.
