Ramming - When does it constitute an attack? - Alestone - 06-10-2015 Today, I had a player ram me repeatedly in an attempt to prevent me from docking. He knocked me away from the base far enough to need to re-cover the distance multiple times. No shots were fired, there was no conversation, but it was a de-facto aggressive action. I realize that the server rules don't really cover this. At what point do I have the right to say, Enough? As a side point, I believe that he called for a Lawful, and was attempting to hold me. I cannot prove it, but a lawful showed up suspiciously quickly and the ramming player docked immediately there after. RE: Ramming - When does it constitute an attack? - Connor - 06-10-2015 Constant ramming should count as an act of aggression to be honest. After a certain amount of deliberate rams, you should be able to attack them. RE: Ramming - When does it constitute an attack? - MonkeyMan - 06-10-2015 Whenever ramming is highly annoying blast em if they keep doing it for longer than 10seconds... RE: Ramming - When does it constitute an attack? - Sciamach - 06-10-2015 Ideally: 1: Record it happening 2: tell them to stop InRP and claim to open fire if they do not cease 3: set a time (20 seconds or so) 4 should they continue, blast 'em. RE: Ramming - When does it constitute an attack? - Karst - 06-10-2015 Much like with repeated CD'ing, I would definitely engage someone that's repeatedly ramming me. And I imagine that much as CD'ing someone isn't an attack but doing so constantly is, ramming someone isn't an attack but doing so constantly is. RE: Ramming - When does it constitute an attack? - Leppy - 06-10-2015 Just get repeated (with timestamp) screenshots or video of it happening and submit it under whichever rule covers "trolling" and similar behavior RE: Ramming - When does it constitute an attack? - Marburg - 06-10-2015 I see intentional multiple ramming as an abuse of game mechanics & oorp, so report 'em when it becomes an issue RE: Ramming - When does it constitute an attack? - Wesker - 06-10-2015 If they keep bumping you tell them too stop. If they don't make them into a blue message. RE: Ramming - When does it constitute an attack? - CzeReptile - 06-10-2015 What about excessive ramming if they are trying to prevent you from docking? RE: Ramming - When does it constitute an attack? - Jack_Henderson - 06-10-2015 Then better learn the quickdock and be done with it fast. If someone can ram you repeatedly when quickdocking, that docking guy is doing it wrong. |
